Kaner Flat Campground — Hotel in Cle Elum

One of our favorite campgrounds. I understand the appeal of dispersed camping, but too often you are roaming around trying to find a spot. Kaner is reservable and inexpensive (comparatively speaking). I like knowing I for sure have a place to camp. It has outhouses so you can save your black tank. Many of the sites are huge. We were able to get two trailers in one spot and just pay the extra vehicle fee. Beautiful forest and river. There is a store down the highway if you need to resupply. Drive up to Raven's Roost or up to Mount Rainier. We like to go to Boulder Cave....

The roads between sites are paved, which is great for kids to ride bikes or scooters, etc. The river is also right across from the campgrounds, which is just beautiful. There's plenty of trees for shade, and the sites are decent in size with plenty of natural areas between the sites. The bathrooms have actual running water. The only thing they didn't have is power and water hookups for the trailer, but the trailer spots are also paved. All in all the site was beautiful, peaceful and our family had...

We piggybacked on our friends’ camping trip to Kaner Flat. Site 36 was big enough to fit a truck camper, a 26’ bumper pull camper, and a 33’ motor home. Nice clean sites, fairly level, no hookups so make sure you prepare to boondock. Vault toilets get pretty raunchy by the end of each day but are cleaned each morning.
