I have been to the Liberty campground a few times over the years. Free? Check. Beautiful woodland area with tranquil babbling brook? Check. Unknowingly camping the same weekend as a massive buggy and atv meet up? Check. I'm sure you'll agree that the best time to go riding with your throttle wide open is 3am, hammered and bored of the fireside fist fights. The campground is amazing, dont get me wrong, but it's also free. This is only my opinion, take from it what you will. I feel the lack of having to pay may also have an affect on campers' accountability. Is Liberty a great place to camp? Hands down, yes. Should you expect to have to police up items left behing by the most recent ne'er-do-wells on your arrival? I'd say it could be a possibility. There is a main vault style toilet when you first drive into the area. In almost all of the campsites there, you will find a fire ring and a chained up heavy-duty picnic table.

Camped here on our way to Leavenworth. We took the right fork and used the 2nd camp site. I'd suggest going farther in or using the left fork to get away from the road, as you can see passing cars from where we were. Each site has a picnic table and firepit. There was still a burn ban as of 9/27/2022. There is a creek running through, which was nice. Theres one single stall restroom. Camping is free. Only one other person came in later at night, otherwise we had the place to ourselves.

This place is legit. I definitely enjoyed my time there and will be back. I think that these are some of the coolest trails I’ve ever been on and the parking was great for the motorhome and a 20 foot trailer super easy to get in and out of and quick

It was awesome there was hardly nobody there maybe there were four campsites going it is all wide open but make sure you bring your own toilet paper just in case the toilets are empty which it was on my visit but other than that it was great I was panning for gold the grand babies were having fun playing in the Stream I definitely plan on going back before the end of August for a week or two lots of wildlife lots of views and a lot of trails to ride and the historical downtown was just wonderful took a lot of pictures and really enjoyed it if I had four thumbs I'd give it four thumbs up I will be there again in August...
