Omg we had the eggs benedict for breakfast. Everything was perfect! Next day we came for dinner and went to town on the Texas jalapeños. Secret is in the sauce. Followed by the Caesar salad with brisket, also another goody, New York strip steak cooked very rare and juicy and brisket whole. The meat portions were cooked with perfect mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. Obviously there were leftovers between the three of us. They even went above and beyond and gave us a tour of the smoker where they cook the brisket for 12 hours at 200 degrees. The water comes from well right above the restaurant. The food is cooked in butter which costs more than vegetable oil but so much better for your health. Know what you are putting in your body because food like this won't make you sick, but it can elsewhere. The only real criticism I have is don't use canned ingredients! Since it was a slow night our waitress, Jaydee took our picture outside the restaurant to memorialize our great experience here.

Stopped by and there is now a restaurant called Raven and Rooster. Happened to be their grand opening and I must say the food was excellent, especially the chicken cordon bleu sandwich. The chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Can't wait to come back and try the dinner menu.

Newly opened! The Raven & Rooster is super cute! The staff were awesome and food is excellent! Not like a greasy spoon you’d find along the highway, but an actual sit-down restaurant with fresh food.

Don't know anything about the place anymore other than it's closed anytime I drive by, such as "resort and RV park"?? It's been years since I've been inside, back when it was a restaurant/gift shop. And since it never seems to be open I've no idea when I'll ever go in again. I just happened to borrow their empty parking lot as I was passing through with my trailer for a rest stop and...
