This has been my favorite campground for about 5 years. However it will remain "CLOSED" for the year 2016. I am so angry with the USDA specifically the Okanogan-Wenatchee Forest Service for sitting on their hands & doing nothing to open this very popular campground. It could be open by now if someone with the Forest Service would have the balls to remove the downed trees & great this Campground open now. I have heard that nothing is being done because the YAKAMA Nation wants all the trees cut up and put in the Bumping River I guess to protect the Salmon runs. I know this just get the damn campground open. Clear the trees or whatever, make the place safe and deal with the trees later. In fact the USDA could profit from firewood sales if they would cut & split the hundreds that are down, and those they drop. Instead the campground look horrible, and there is nothing but fuel for Forest Fires. That is not land management it is...
Read moreWOW! I enjoyed camping here. It was absolutely beautiful, plenty of space, lots of clean restrooms. If you're a mushroom Hunter, you'd love this place, I don't know the names of any, but I got a few photos of some interesting lookinnng ones! Robin was the camp host, she...

Luckily we booked the site #20 which happens to be one of the largest, and we were able to fit our 5 tents easily. The site is also one of the closest from the river. The bathroom were clean and the host friendly.
The campsite is a 15 minute drive from Bumping lake and a couple easy trails. Perfect for a lazy weekend with...
