On our cross-country road trip from Georgia to Bellingham, this campground was by far our most favourite!

We happened to be there for the first majorly hot day. Couldn’t have been more thrilled to have an epically cold river to dip into. And with all that dust kicking up from trucks driving by… and the pollen puffs that floated everywhere from early morning, it was incredible to wash off in the river.

I found it was so odd to see few fire rings for the amount of tent space. For times like these when we need to keep distance from strangers, this campground has loads of space between each site. That was really great!

Don’t forget to get your Discovery Pass! $30/annual fee.

Neutral: Bathrooms were clean but smelled since just a hole in the ground. Reasonably quiet. People around 10 seemed to calm down and shut off music. Still some loud drunk people arguing. I imagine it'd be a lot louder at night during summer. Negative: no garbage or dumping. No water. No phone service what so ever. (No wifi or normal internet access, no...

The campground was nice and the portable toilets were cleaner than I expected. However, I give this a 2-star based on the very inconsiderate people we shared the camp with. There was a compound of RV's setup from which they rode little dirt bikes around the campground for about 5 hours straight in the evening. They also drove around the campground joyriding in their jeep with no muffler. At midnight we were awakened to what sounded like a rave coming from their site with music and yelling until about 3AM. You get what you pay for at this campground. I'm sure it could be great on nights when the trash doesn't show up and use the area as an off road...
