Lake Louisa Chateau — Hotel in Clermont

If you’re looking for an experience of a lifetime, you MUST book the Lake Louisa Chateau! To say our experience was amazing would be an understatement!

Our family including people from the age of 1 all the way up to 71 years of age, and every last person enjoyed their time!

The owner was very accommodating and allowed for last minute activities to be added and the activities did not disappoint. The owner provided a guided swamp buggy tour which everyone loved! We also added on the laser light show which was enjoyed by all, especially the kids!

We took the pontoon boat out on the lake, which was calming, and enjoyable. There was plenty of room for our group on the boat and the boat has an awning to protect from the sun!

We fished in the lake, off the dock, and in the well stocked pond! It provided a fun competition for everyone! The Swan paddle boat was an elegant added touch which we adored!

The grounds are stunning! There are lots of picturesque moments across the grounds for family photos or quick pictures! There is a calming ambiance that resounds throughout the grounds, day or night! A peace surrounds you from the moment you arrive on the property. The backdrop for a romantic night is on the grounds each night!

Each themed room did not disappoint, the pictures do not do them justice. Prepare for friendly competition and plan a day of competing in each room. Our guests of all ages participated and had fun.

We booked Jacquelyn for on-site massages in the ski room. It was an amazing time of relaxation and rejuvenation. She is amazing and well worth every penny spent.

Maurice provided an elegant touch to our 15 year anniversary dinner. He prepared our dinner on site, he was very familiar with the property, and navigated the dinner with ease. We allowed him to surprise us with a menu and he did not disappoint. We had steak, asparagus, potatoes, and lemoncello tartlets for dessert. He also prepared fresh fried chicken nuggets, Mac and cheese, and brownies for all of our littles! We would highly recommend you book a dinner with Maurice from Hidalgo Catering.

Our favorite spot was the pool! There are extravagant accommodations with multiple cabanas and furniture for all to enjoy! The huge Television was great for watching football games throughout the week, listening to some oldies but goodies, and for karaoke! Again, everyone, of all ages loved the pool area! The owners provide floats/vests for kids, huge pool float mats, and other pool toys!

Lastly, and most important, in my opinion, was the property owners! David Canther was always available for assistance, recommendations, and great conversation. David was very engaging and the icing on the cake. He perfectly balanced being present when we needed him, and remaining in the background when we did not. It made all of us very comfortable having him present!

If you are just looking for a marginal place to stay overnight, book a local hotel. If you are looking to enjoy every last penny of your hard earned money, book the Chateau. The experience will leave a huge impact and the memories made will...

I give my highest recommendation to the property, owner, and all around service.

My original airbnb got double booked that I was supposed to have my wedding ceremony at. I booked my original airbnb 4 months in advanced and when I found out it was double booked, I was furious, devastated, and defeated. I could not find a private property with great views that had 10 bedrooms within hours of my other property canceling, except for this one.

I tried to book the property at around 11pm on Friday night. However, airbnb was not working properly. I messaged Andrew and he got back to me within 5 minutes. He communicated with me for over an hour to assist me in my booking because of the technical issues. He also reached out to the owner to confirm the availability and readiness of the property because of the such short notice. So first off, their response time and booking assistance was unparalleled.

Upon arrival to the airbnb, the owner of the property, Dave, greeted me at the front gate. He walked me around every single room to show me how everything worked and what switches went with what. He explained everything in detail so that I could optimize my experience. Additionally, he contacted me every day to ensure that I was not having any issues and to see if there was anything I needed assistance with.

The property was absolutely incredible. We were a group of about 20, but it could easily accommodate 40+. All of our guests loved the theme rooms and how unique and detailed they were. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The details to the rooms made the experience a fun filled environment.

There were activities for all ages. From the arcade games, to the inflatable games, to the pool, to the yard games, there was something for everyone. Additionally, the big screen tv in the main living room and by the pool ensured that us fantasy football addicts could see all of the action.

Lastly, my new wife and I had a small 25 person ceremony on the property. The aesthetics of the property made our small wedding apear to be a 100k wedding. The photographer showed us a preview of the pictures and they were incredible. She said that she captured some of the most beautiful shots on the property that she had never captured before. We even took a couple photos on the swan boat in the pond.

I can’t explain how grateful I am for Andrew and Dave to make my wedding weekend the most beautiful and fun thing in my life. We were planning to have our wedding here prior to COVID-19 unfolding. No formal contract was issued and Owner is not returning any of our payments, citing the "contract", website, and that no other vendors or companies are issuing refunds during this time.

A few weeks back soon after March 13th when the travel bans first came into effect, we reached out to David regarding the situation and the significant impacts to our guests, beyond our control. He told us he was fine still holding events despite the governmental and CDC recommendations and instead of following these, he was requiring his events to sign waivers. He told us that he would make those dates open on his website and if someone else booked the property for our dates, then we could have our full refund. We followed up the next week and he had not even opened the dates. After the stay at home orders were issued, I followed up but he did not return my initial communication.

Throughout the process he would mention that his costs are a great "deal" compared to other venues--our strong recommendation is to fact check those statements. Most other venues amenities include much more than just permission to be on their property, i.e. chairs, tables, linens, dance floor, covered areas, etc., while his "amenities" have an extra cost to utilize and are only recreational. Make sure you look into how expensive renting a tent is as a back up plan should weather be an issue. Nothing is included with the significant "venue" fee besides a hefty deposit, which you will not get back should there ever be a crisis situation. Please get everything in writing.

Also, the Owner asked if he could send me information on other wedding vendors, I accepted; however, he gave out my personal cell phone number without my permission. If we could pick less than 1 star we would. Please be wary and save yourself the extra stress. We feel that he operates unethically and that we were taken advantage of.

UPDATE: Furthermore, our google review to try to save others the same heartache was removed. This is not right and another example of unethical business practice. To not allow prospects access to all reviews is dishonest and only emphasizes the need to warn others...
