Outland Expeditions - Ocoee River Rafting — Hotel in Cleveland

August 5, 2023 This is our fourth year rafting with Outland Expeditions. Needless to say it was as fun as the previous three years! The staff members were very professional, accommodating and friendly. I look forward to our next visit.

July 31, 2022 This is our third year (in a row) rafting with Outland Expeditions. The past three years our group went from 6 to 17 to 36 people. The staff and river guides are friendly, accommodating, personable and extremely knowledgeable of the river. Kudos to Outland Expeditions, we had a fantastic time. We look forward to next year.

July 25, 2021 Last year rafting, my group had six people. Throughout the year, we talked with friends about what an awesome experience we had with Outland Expeditions. This year the group grew to 17 people. No one was disappointed, everyone had a blast and is already talking about next year. So, there is no doubt the group will grow. Outland Expeditions has an awesome group of people.

August 2020 We went this past weekend and had an absolutely amazing experience rafting with Outland Expedition! The equipment was great, the pre-trip safety meeting was informative. During the bus ride, one of the river guides told us about each section of the river. Ian W. was our guide and he was AWESOME! I have used several different companies (as there are MANY that offer trips down the Ocoee) in the past and used to be a regular on the Ocoee some 24 years ago. I have always loved the full Ocoee and have been waiting years for my son to be old enough and weigh enough to keep him in the raft. I chose the Outland Expeditions based on the reviews and research of their trips of the full Ocoee. Once there I had to ask for a specific consideration in allowing a float bag to come with us given my son had just had a blood sugar issue the night before. Not only did they allow the float bag and tied it to their medical box but also put us in one of the more senior guides rafts. Austin was absolutely phenomenal as a guide. Not only did he ensure our safe return but he made it an incredibly memorable trip for my wife and son's first time down the infamous Ocoee.

A few highlights--Plenty of parking, super friendly staff, they all had years of experience, changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers offered on site, lunch on the full Ocoee trip was AMAZING (this particular day BBQ/ 3 sides/ fruit/ cookies/ drinks) and it was all...

We booked same day on Aug 24, 2025 for a little outdoor excursion. Our trip was at 3pm, check in went smoothly. James was a great raft guide. Perfect balance of clear instruction and touring facts while not coming across as condescending. Was fun and he had a super chill vibe, just what we were looking for. We had a great time with James as our guide.

Deducting one star for some of the behaviors exhibited towards our group while gearing up before getting on the bus. Aidan came up and very rudely pointed out that one of my friends had missed a buckle on the life vest, without even saying hello or approaching with a helpful attitude. Then as we were figuring out our vests, he and his male coworker began yanking our life vest straps tight without any greeting or warning, which just caught us off guard and came across poorly. We wished they would have acknowledged us before grabbing and pulling at the straps from behind or out of view. Perhaps they could have said, “Hey, can I help you tighten your vest?” before touching us.
