Mountain View Lodge — Hotel in Clifford Township

Stopped for lunch with my daughter. Pam was our waitress and she was not friendly at all. My daughter ordered honey mustard boneless wings that came out mild boneless wings. We told the waitress who said it was her fault and ordered the correct wings. This time as we were finishing our pizza her wings finally came out except they were bone-in wings. She was over it and so was I until the cook came out and asked us how everything was and we explained they were wrong again but we were not interested in waiting for them to be fixed a 3rd time. He insisted he would have them ready before we left to take home. We agreed and as soon as he walked away Pam jumped up from her seat with the patrons at the bar to run after him yelling "whats the problem this time". He made good on his promise and the correct wings came out as we were finishing up. Not even a discount or removal of the item from our bill or even an apology from Pam. They were not busy...just us and the 3 guys sitting at the bar so there is no excuse for the wrong item coming out twice...We definitely will not be back.

Wow! How refreshing it is to witness the rebirth of this once dormant property as it emerges from a decrepit state into a NEPA gem! Sophia, Todd and Roxanne did an incredible job of restoring this locale. The melange of tatseful mid-century craftwork, vibrant art deco pieces, blended with rustic country chic artifacts, with sturdy modern furnishings, makes this an inviting, eclectic and cozy setting. Its decor is definitely alluring and the space is quite clean and esthetically appealing. The cuisine is on point and the genuine warm hospitality was well-received! The staff seemed to carry their weight in a synergistic fashion as they wore genuine smiles during table service. This place even has an 'old school arcade' with a spacious banquet hall, dance floor and plenty of cozy lounge spaces! I'll be back!!! I am not an employee. Food was very good... The bad... wait was extremely long, we were a table of three and we were there just over 2 hours. Other customer were also expressing their displeasure and requested to speak to a manager and that too was a wait for her to come out. Once she did it was a poor excuse.(booked party in the back).my opinion if you are going to book a party you should have the staff to cover the party and the restaurant.If your looking for a quiet place to eat out, avoid Friday and Saturday nights. the noise from a live band in the back us horrible, very loud and not a pleasant tone. and then hooten and hollering...well that sucked also..
