White Deer Motel — Hotel in Clinton Township

I have stayed with my friend at this motel 3 times now because it is right down the road from the Correctional Facility. The rooms themselves are very clean and the rates are cheap. However, on our last stay the entire walkway's ceilings was covered with spiders, and I mean covered! This was taken care of in the morning, but it was creepy to have to walk under all the spiders to get to our room. Also, we booked the room with an American Express card. They called us to confirm the reservation. The check-in and check-out process is pretty much non-existent. They have you drop off your key in a box. The office door is pretty much closed all the time. So, that's what we did assuming our card they had on file (from the reservation) would just be run at the agreed upon rate. A week goes by and no charges were made. Then we get a phone call stating that they don't accept American Express, which was odd because it's the same card they've used twice before and was the card we reserved the room under. They said it's because they just changed owners and the new owner decided not to accept this type of card anymore. They said that they would figure out the charge for the room and call us back so we could pay with a different card. We never got a call back. So, after another week passed, we called them back and they said again they would figure out the cost and call us back. We still have not received a call back. We really enjoy staying there as it is fairly cheap and it is clean and so close to the prison, but the customer service could use a bit of improvement if you ask me. I'm not opposed to staying there again, but something's gotta give. Oh, and don't count on the Wi-Fi. They have it, but you can't connect to it unless you are outside and downstairs slightly away from the hotel...even then it's...

This motel had 4 star review. Website looked nice. I’m the photos the rooms looked outdated, but clean and tidy. I’ve driven by in the past and it looked nice. That was not the case. It was musty smelling and not clean! Not just outdated as the photo showed, But In disrepair. The bathroom had cobwebs in the corner and mold in the shower. The outlet that the mini fridge was plugged into was hanging out of the wall. The old school square 2x2 mini fridge was sitting on the floor. The pillowcases were stained. The carpet was gross. I was afraid to put my clothes or bags on the floor. We didn’t stay the night. No one was on site to see about this. It was 11pm at this point so...

Spent 1 night here after riding the Pine Creek Trail from Wellsboro to Jersey Short. The entire area was booked for the Little League World Series. There were only a few rooms left and Charlie was very accommodating as I delayed my start date by 1 day due to weather. Check in was easy. The room was exceptionally clean and neat. Simple but perfect. Must have been recently done over (new carpet, fresh paint, new A/C unit, new flat screen TV). Even the fridge and microwave were spotless. A short drive to Williamsport. Would definitely stay here again. WiFi was better that in some chain hotels...
