Brushy Creek Ranch — Hotel in Clinton

TO Chris & Ashli, I just wanted to let y'all know of the AMAZING things I've witness this weekend there! I'm not on here to bash anyone nor make you change your mind about how you feel about Brushy Creek. I'm on here to tell you of the AMAZING two people I come to call my friends!!! People come to think the WORLD revolves around them & sorry to say it doesn't!!! We stayed in the Cabin Lake Sunset right off the lake!! It was ABSOLUTELY BREATHE TAKEN!!!! When your on the WEBSITE it does tell you NO CELL SERVICE OR CABLE TV!! It also says bring MOVIES if you like too!! The CABIN was in ABSOLUTELY dream to stay in.. COWBOY CHURCH was something I've never experienced before & CHRIS touched my heart in ways I've never felt with just a FEW words out of his mouth!!! Chris & Ashli are SWEET, HONEST, HARDWORKING, GENUINE, WARM HEARTED, INVITING, LOVING, people... I'm sorry that some of you didn't get to experience that from them!!! My husband, our 20 year old daughter Gabby & I had the GREATEST weekend of our lives & we OWE this THANKS to Chris, Ashli & the people who help them keep this AMAZING place running!!!!!!!! If we never get to come back I want y'all to know how precious y'all are to us!!!!!!! Friends for LIFE!!!!!!! I can't say ENOUGH GOOD things about them or Brushy Creek! This place is a very nice place it's just so sad that they have people running it that are so so rude. When we got there and there was no one there for us to check in with so we just went over to the cabin and it was open. We when in and unloaded our stuff, turned on the window units grabbed a sandwich. Then we went down a trail for a lil bit. By the time we got back to the cabin it was still hot! So we had no signal on our phones so we had to drive a mile back to the black top road. I call the owners to tell them the A/c wasn't working. They send their daughter who did not work there and had no idea about the cabins or the A/c. Then she tells us she is going to get her mom to come look at it. We waited almost and 45mins for her to come which she never did. So we packed our stuff up and went to their house to ask what we needed to do becuz we were done and leaving. I explained to her that this was our anniversary weekend and this isn't what I planned it to be. So said oh yes ma'am I understand but then her husband the stepped in the conversation and was so so rude!!! He is a very nasty man. And needs anrge management classes. He wantes to jump on my husband. His wife was having to hold this old fart back like he was going to jump on my husband. They said they would credit my credit card back but have yet to see the money. They didn't want to fix the air they only wanted to let us go on our way. They are just bad bad business people. Please don't waste your money or time going out to this place. Overall, we had a much needed and relaxing time away at Brushy Creek. I read every one of the reviews which were overwhelmingly positive and pretty darn accurate. There is nothing glamourous about Brushy Creek and the ranch isn't advertised that way. If you are looking for a relaxing, no-nonsense spot to stay with your horses- look no further. My husband and I quipped several times that this was a real DIY kinda place. There was very little interference from staff with either lodging or horse boarding. I think as a first timer to BC, I would have appreciated at least some written or emailed directions on where to go or what to do. Our original cabin was overrun with fleas from the previous guests, so I was contacted by one of the BC staff to ask if we would move cabins. I appreciated this very much but kind of wonder if I would have been contacted at all had this not happened. As it turned out, I ended up texting with this staff member quite a bit- where do we go? Where do we put the horses? What do we need for them? How do we get to the trails? The GPS address does not take you to the Ranch so I had to have extra directions on that as well. I think a general sheet of directions (I can't be the only person asking, can I?) as well as a map of trails would be so helpful and really put the icing on this great little spot.
