Rockville Lake Park — Hotel in Clinton

Rockville Lake is the only place my family and I will camp at. We've tried other camping spots but none of them are as wonderful as Rockville! The people here are always so happy and pleasant, they keep things as clean as they can, the swimming area is spacious and they have a pier that is super fun to jump off of! My family and I always see so much wild life when we come here, it's always so exciting for our kids. They also have many fishing areas and boat rentals so you can fish on the lake. They don't have a little general store inside the park like other camping areas do, but there are stores conveniently located just outside the park, only about 4-6 minutes away. We are definitely loyal to Rockville lake for a reason! It's a GREAT place to camp, and so beautiful!! I have a few photos, but I always have so much fun that I forget...

It was okay here despite our experience with the town around it. We are queer women of color so there was a mixed reaction of us being there. I booked two nights and the woman at the check in was surprised we actually stayed?.. idk I saw so many reviews about how clean it is and they are mostly true. overnight someone destroyed the toilets and didn't clean up after themselves. I think we've all experienced how filthy women's bathrooms can get. It was gross. They have kayaking, hiking and fishing. The "beach" was a little sad. Our primitive campsite had a picnic table, fire pit with a grill rack...and racoons. We lost a couple pieces of pie and a couple hours of sleep to our own fault. Very unorganized campground attendants. The upper lakefront sites are not really a homey fun feel mostly gravel sites right on the road. The view could be greatly improved for a nice view of the beach and lake below if they just cut the weeds down. Vehicles have to park across the street due to not enough room to park at the campsite since it's right on the road. Could be a cleaner campground as well. Lots of trash arround the playground area. Beach wasn't really nice a real hard packed sand. The store didn't have the best variety and,the firewood they had was terribly wet and took 3 nights to burn a whole bundle with plenty of artificial fire logs to supplement. Basicaily it's a decent park with nice area but could use some updating in areas to make it...
