We recently spent nine nights at CLRR and this was our first time to visit the Coachella Valley area. We're from Oregon, so we absolutely loved the clear blue skies and warm weather this time of year. This RV Resort is brand new and parts of the resort are still under construction. The RV sites are plenty long and nice and wide so that we could actually park our tow vehicle next to the travel trailer. The staff at CLRR were fabulous and very friendly. A big shout-out to Jenny, who went out of her way to help us book reservations for 2025 as we were trying to find three sites side by side. It was excellent customer service and we were all very impressed with how friendly and helpful she was. In regards to the grounds itself, they had several Pickle ball courts and overhead lights for evening play. We used the laundry room and it was immaculately clean and the machines were easy to use with a downloadable app. One of the pools with hot tubs was open while the other pool was still under construction. The pool was fairly crowded due to spring break and lots of kids, but it was a very nice pool area and the clubhouse room was very roomy and clean. I'm not sure if all of the lakes on site are stocked with fish, but the lake in front of our trailer site was definitely stocked, as we saw several fish jumping out of the water in the mornings and evenings. The 18-hole putting course was a lot of fun too. Our only complaint, has more to do with pet owners....The rules are very clear that all pets must be on a leash and owners are to pick up after their pets. There is a fenced-in dog park and several "Potty Pads" spread out in the park, yet we watched several dog owners let their dogs run free in the amphitheater area and do their business right out in the grassy area where people would sit to watch a concert. And we were even more disturbed that the pet owners watched it all, but did nothing to clean up after their dogs. It was disappointing that the staff did not do something about it even after we reported it. Overall, we loved visiting so much, that we looked at many other RV Resorts in the area, and we concluded that we liked CLRR the best and we will be back in February 2025. Thank you to all the staff and workers who keep the park looking so nice and for your friendly welcome to...
Read moreIt is a beautiful new rv resort. The staff here are amazing. When I walked in, I felt truly welcomed by Liz. It wasn't just a "can I help you?". The pool area, fitness area and lounge are top notch and gorgeous. It is right down the road from the cheapest fuel in the valley (Shellees). The sites are large. You'll be able to spread out your toys. The have a well kept putting course. It's free to play or $3 if you're using one of their putters.... but these are top of the line putters. Not your putt putt golf putters. The pickleball courts are top notch. I can just imagine there would be great games during season. They are also part of Passport America which is amazing! You get to stay for half price. Here is where they lose a star; The property is large and skinny. So you'll have to look at the map and make sure you're by the amenities you want or you'll be walking quite a bit. (Although they do have golf carts you can rent) The configuration of electric, water and dump is off. You will need twice the usual length of dump hose to make it work. We just stayed one night so I pulled forward to dump before leaving. If you are staying longer, you'll need more hose. We chose a site by the laundry facility. The dog area consisted of a 15'x15' patch of artificial grass. When on the other side of the building was a big pie shape of real grass. Unfortunately there were signs all around it to keep your dog off the grass (I have no idea why). The problem is this is the Coachella Valley. A third of the year is spent in triple digits. Artificial grass turns into a fire walk at those temperatures. All the sites consist of large gravel. There is no option to pay more to stay at a site with grass (like Indian Waters). And because they're new, the gravel isn't quite settled yet so it gets a little rutted. With all that said, I would recommend...
Read moreOur stay at Coachella RV Resort turned out to be fantastic, thanks to the exceptional effort of the staff. After sharing some minor concerns in our initial review, one of the managers personally reached out to ask how they could improve. His genuine kindness and commitment to making guests happy completely changed our perspective, earning this resort a well-deserved 5-star update!
Overall, we had a wonderful time. The resort is newer, which comes with both advantages and opportunities for growth. The layout is thoughtfully designed with spacious sites and plenty of family-friendly activities. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the booking process was simple and smooth.
While some amenities weren’t yet available during our visit—like the splash pad and the second clubhouse and pool—it was clear the resort is continuously evolving. Understandably, they’re still refining some of their policies and procedures, but the team is receptive to feedback and actively making improvements.
Our three kids had an absolute blast! They loved the pool and hot tubs, spent hours in the game room, and were thrilled by the Thanksgiving treats the resort provided. We enjoyed biking around the property, playing in the grassy areas with our dog, and exploring the lakes with the mini-waterfalls. We didn’t get a chance to try out the putting green or fishing, but those activities are definitely on our list for our next visit. In fact, as we were packing up to leave, our kids were already asking when we could come back!
Coachella RV Resort is off to a fantastic start, and we’re excited to see how they continue to grow. It’s a great spot for families, and we can’t wait...
