While this review is a little overdue, it is not due to our experience. We stayed in the Remington Cabin for 10 nights in the beginning of June. Prior to our arrival. All communications and correspondence with host Erin were answered promptly and to complete satisfaction. Upon arrival at the cabin we were very pleased with the cleanliness, location and overall appearance. It was everything we had hoped for with a beautiful scenic surrounding. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for 10 nights. It had a great shower and big bathroom which typically is not the case in cabins, For someone that was hoping to do a lot of relaxing and absorbing of nature, its location was perfect. My wife, myself and our 4 legged Willow truly enjoyed the property. Our furbaby was quick to meet the very well mannered Labrador Riley and a romance began instantly. Which I may add ,alleviated any homesickness our 9 year old dog was expected to experience. The location was great, halfway between Yellowstone & Cody. Nestled in the beautiful Shoshone National Forest , which is pet friendly I may add. Yellowstone's trails are off limits to pups(rightfully so), but trails in Shoshone NF allow dogs. During our stay, any requests were promptly handled by Erin, whether it be firewood our access to laundry. Our Stay at Mountain View Resort...

We had a lovely view. The hostess was occasionaly quite helpful but not when the mice came . There were times we couldn't make contact with the host or hostess at all. And the worst part was when mice came into our cabin in the middle of the second night. My girls freaked out and when I called the hostess, I was told, "There are mice traps under the sink. Make sure the doors are open to under the sink, and I'll try to deal with this in the morning." There was no offer of alternate lodging for the night. My daughters and I slept in the car, and mostly did not sleep. At 7:00 in the morning, we found a restaurant for breakfast and left.

What could have been an absolutely amazing experience, turned horrific and miserable and the host and hostess offered no real help and as far as I know, no compensation.

This could have been a lovely experience if:

  1. the cabin was sealed so that rodents couldn't get in. Short of spending the money on that
  2. as soon as I called, alternate, rodent free lodgings found and offered to us and help moving in.

As it was, I was essentially told to hope that the mice found their way to the mice traps, and I'm pretty sure the hostess went...

We stayed at the Mounting View resort in a cabin on March 11th,12th and left on the 13th … the only thing going for the cabins was the Views.. the accommodations in the Cabins really sucked .. the cooking pans were so bad , we had neighbors that had large dogs that was out most the time, it seemed like every time we had to take are dog out to go the the bathroom , them bigger dogs were always out .. and they would be scratching on are cabin door .. we just ended up loading up are dog in the car and driving down the road to let her out and go to the bathroom… wasn’t good for us at all… but if you really want to see good views and Buffalo, Mountain Sheep and lots of Elk .. it’s a good place to go .. the cabin was Mountain Men Cabin .. bring ur own pots and pans … this cabins pots and pans was really bad.. really didn’t have much for kitchen stuff just so you know we found that out the hard way… I did 2 stars...

Awesome Views. Great staff we were extremely late getting in and they were more than happy to help us get into spots for the night, a little tough to get into late at night with a pull behind camper, so make sure you have enough daylight to get setup. And don't forget to have breakfast at the small bakery/ Diner in front, you won't be disappointed with The biscuits and Gravy some of the best I've had on the road, all home made food that is Great! THANKS FOR THE GREAT EXPERIENCE!

We stayed this past week in a cabin for a family Yellowstone trip and couldn't be more pleased! The cabin was beautiful and very comfortable, the view from the window was awesome, and Erin was so nice! We also got to hang out with her dog some nights, which was great. The site is about half an hour from Yellowstone, and the only issue is trying to find the right driveway at night! It was a wonderful experience and we will ABSOLUTELY be back!!
