Wheels of wonderment was such an amazing campground to stay at! Pete and Laura just make you feel so welcome, it felt like we were coming home. They really go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and happy, and you can just see how much they love what they do. We were super impressed that Pete has pretty much built it all himself and to perfection as well, there has really been a lot of care and thought put into every detail of the place. We stayed in a Queen cabin and it was so well insulated that we couldnt even hear the rain outside when the door closed which meant it held the warmth for us too. The bath houses were spotless and the showers a perfect size to get yourself organised, which is always a godsend when at a campground. You get coffee and sweet treats in the morning and its all so delicious. The little kitchenette is equipped with all the basics and everything is always tidy. There is a beautiful creek running right through the camp and you can sit down by it and make a communal fire etc, something we really enjoyed whilst staying there. The deck overlooking the rolling mountains and the valley is perfect for relaxing and getting to know Pete and fellow campers. Another bonus is the massage chair, one in each bath house, just incredible! I cant recommend staying at Pete and Lauras campground enough; superb hosts, stunning campground,...
ย ย ย Read moreKids, do you want to stay in a TIPI? I know it was 100% "glamping" (glamorous camping), but it was so much fun. We slept so good in the fresh air and elevation! You could hear the creek trickling behind the tipi too. Very very relaxing. Queen size bid and a full sized futon was enough for the four of us. Lighting in the tipi was very adequate and there was power for charging electrical devices.
Found out that the owners were from MN. They knew the area that we were from. He shared that all of the furniture came from Princeton, MN which was unique too. Very cool log furniture. This facility has personal touches everywhere and it shows.
The public areas (laundry and shower rooms) are very clean. I was pleasantly surprised to find a fabulous lounging area in the restroom that had a massage chair in it. No, this isn't your electric add on, this is a serious massage chair. It squeezes your legs, feet and arms. There are so many settings you could get a different massage for hours.
The goats and Llamas do not smell. I love having furry friends to visit in the morning. This location is about an 18 min drive to Cody. We would love to come again. Everyone enjoyed...
ย ย ย Read moreI enjoyed everything about my stay at Wheels of Wonderment/Eycat Lodging! We stayed in the teepee for 2 nights and the cabin for 2 nights. The teepees were SO awesome, and I couldn't believe how soft the sheets were, the bed was so comfortable, and we could hear the stream, it was so relaxing. The cabins were also wonderful, same great sheets and beds, and the AC and fans were nice to have. Everything about the property was clean and comfortable, even with the shared bathroom. I promise, it is NOT bad! It even smells nice! There is even a TV and massage chair in the bathroom. They provide free coffee and breakfast snacks in the morning, and you can drink your coffee while hanging out on a table next to the farm animals. The view during the day (especially off of the top deck) and the stars are night were equally beautiful. I would go back in...
