Update: currently on our third trip to LPCG here in the past 12 months. Love it here. Incredibly close to the lake, tons to do. Great campground that’s clean, professionally run and has great staff! We love it here - it’s so close to everything. All the restaurants and bars and shopping (all within 15 min). For anyone complaining about the highway noise, you can see on google maps that it’s right off a highway so…kind of use your head a little bit here. We are the first spot in the upper lot. The upper lot is much quieter for sure but still noisy from the highway. Honestly don’t even notice it. We are right next to the pool so I guess we should complain about kids having fun too? 😂 Come on This place has putt putt golf, pickleball, two heated pools and a dog park, lots of walking space and plenty of space between rigs, a convenience store that has all the staples and quarters for the laundry room. Laundry room is big with tons of machines. Scott (head of maintenance/mgt) has been the most friendly guy we have dealt with at any campground since we started RVing. He came over at 9pm when we first got here to make sure we got in safely and hooked up. No other place has done that. Also, they keep the grounds spotless. There are bike trails across the street and the the lake is two blocks from here and an awesome gravel bike trail a few miles away that will take you halfway across the lake itself! Beautiful sunsets at the park which is a few miles away and there is volleyball basketball and other fields there as well So many places to hike and I’ve never seen as many breweries in one small area as I have here in this area of VT. I’ve been incredibly happy here and looking at booking a whole summer next year I think they do a great job here - don’t listen to the naysayers!

A pretty nice campground overall just a few things keeps it from being the top review. The roads are paved and at least the site we had was large and flat, also grass. This place also has a lot of activities here including pickleball, basketball court, a pool, mini-golf, and a meeting hall. They do have a nice laundry and two shower houses here with restrooms but they're very few showers in each. Also make sure you have extensions for both your water and power connections as a site layout can make this a long stretch to hook up. We only interacted with the staff once and found them both friendly and helpful. Cell phone connection is okay although in general I found LTE to be the most common reception and I have a T-Mobile phone. Justin walking around it appears approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the sites RBM used by seasonal campers. Seasonal campers are also the only ones that get free Wi-Fi as everyone else has to pay an outside vendor who provides it. I paid $20 for 3 days for a single computer and prices go up from there. If you have a smart TV or something similar for streaming video, you have to pay for two devices, for a month, which I believe will cost over $100 per month.

Nice clean campground. It has RV sites all sizes. We camped in the tent area. Very green in that there was nice grass and trees. Clean restrooms. Restrooms were not too far away...which is good. 2 pools. Some activities like a fire truck for kids to ride on, and a DJ one night in clubhouse. Seems like a popular place. Has campstore and soft serve ice cream. Very friendly helpful staff. Located Close to beaches and Burlington and South Hero, North Hero. Nice and Quiet at night. There is a main road close to campground which causes road noise during the day though. The Walking path across the street from campground is very nice. It might be a bike path too.

PRO'S: The campground is very well maintained and is reasonably close to shops, Lake Champlain and the Burlington area. Sites are on grass only, many are nicely shaded. The management is friendly as are workers in the check in/store. We did expect more planned activities for children during the week since we were there in peak summertime. They do have a couple of planned events on weekends only. Our grandsons (ages 12 & 10) tried to keep entertained with the mini golf (very nicely maintained and free), bike riding and pickle ball (brought our own equip), playground and pools. There are a lot of seasonal RVs in this park and the management and RV owners do an excellent job to ensure that they are well landscaped and any outside accessories like screen rooms, decks, etc. are well taken care of and there is not a ton of junk piled around the seasonal set ups. This is a good thing and they look nice, clean and well done unlike other CGs we have seen that allow seasonals to really look trashy. The folks who are seasonals here also were some of the friendliest we have met in our 20 years of RV traveling. Spacing between the campsites is decent but since most of the park is open lawn there is little to no real privacy between sites at all. Both pools were clean and perfect temperatures. Playgrounds were modern and well maintained. They do have a book exchange/library in the small card room off the store- we had to ask if they had a book exchange as it is not noted in any map or materials. Our bath house (closest to office/store) was clean (albeit floor needed repainting in ladies room) and they had nice, very large, lockable private shower rooms. Our site was FHU which all worked fine. The firetruck rides on weekends were very nice for the kids (young and old alike). Their laundry facility was clean, $2 per load for each W & D. CONS: There is no comfortable seating or lounge chairs at either pool area. You must bring your own. There are a couple picnic tables only at each pool. The picnic tables at pool AND at the campsites are very small (seat 4 only) and very tippy if 2 get up off one side you will flip the table. They are the old style base where you have to lift your legs in and out (which is not easy for this creaky 67 year old). The tables are in excellent shape but really very small and we did not see any tables (or sites for that matter) that appeared to be ADA supportive sites. Our site was their one "patio site F" which while a nice idea was in near full sun all day. It also ended up being over $90 per day as they have no weekly discount rate. Having the patio and no privacy on our other side either really was not worth the extra cost in our opinion. Lastly, For a campground that really promotes itself as a family friendly park, we would have liked to see more planned activities during the summer weekdays for children. If we had had rainy weather it would have meant leaving the campground to find other area activities to keep the kids entertained. Another con, as mentioned above is no privacy between campsites despite having nice mature shade trees. If we return, we would want a back in site along the fence line to the left side inside the park so at least we had shade and privacy of woods...

Had a great time up until I had to leave! I was there fri-sun with my family for my son’s soccer tournament in Essex . Everyone was extremely nice and helpful at first but then their true colors shined when a problem occurred 🤦🏻‍♂️. While visiting the campground I received a call from work that they needed help in the area and figured while I was here I could extend my stay a few more days to help. They made the accommodations for me no problem which I was grateful for but then I received another call from where I usually work in Rutland a day later stating I needed to go back because something came up. I was scheduled to leave that Thursday but stopped at the front desk and told them what was happening and that I wouldn’t be able to stay Tuesday night or Wednesday night. I was not looking for a refund for Tuesday because I understand it wasn’t 24 hr notice but I did expect something for Wednesday as it was well within a 24 he notice. The lady at the desk was completely rude and stated that every campground she’s worked at does not give refunds! Your website says otherwise! She continued to argue with me until I left out of frustration with nothing in return. It’s unfortunate because it’s a good campground and I was going to come back again until now! You’ve lost my business. Teach your staff to be compassionate to peoples needs!things change all the time! By the way the park was not busy so they could of easily...
