The non-accessible showers take away two stars. Showers with attachable shower benches that could easily collapse or otherwise put the person at risk, and step-over (as opposed to walk-in) showers belie the very definition of accessibility (and the grab bars that end up serving as essentially wall decor). There are also some other not-exactly-ADA-compliant features (e.g., What is the deal with putting the apparently-accessible rooms with simply the handheld showers in the basement? Are those of us with disabilities not as welcome as everybody else? Those of us with disabilities don’t inherently have intellectual disabilities, and many of us can understand subtle messages. I hope that PRR was not sending the message that those of us with disabilities ought to be excluded from everybody else.). I can’t imagine that BRR would want to signal to the world, “We do the bare minimum to meet the requirements of the ADA, despite that Jesus said to love our neighbors and (through Paul) that love fulfills the law.” I’m a Jewish Christian in Maryland, and I attend a church there. I can’t imagine that most non-believing Jews and non-believing gentiles—whether resident in Pennsylvania or elsewhere—would look at BRR and not think, “They communicate that they believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah and called us to bear one another’s burdens?” If BRR Is truly going to be a place of retreat for Christians and of testimony about the Gospel to Non Christians, it needs to do better.

Complete 5 Star Experience. We hosted the best retreat anyone in my church had before. My entire church was impressed with the cleanliness, how quick the staff are, and most importantly the food. It was so easy to book with them and curate a wonderful experience for all. On top of everything the place is so beautiful. Thank you to Mark, Dan and Ruth for always being kind, helpful, and going above and beyond Highly recommend this place to any church.

This is such a beautiful property! The wooded environment provides a fantastic place to walk, talk, and simply meditate. The retreat center offers great food, a gym, and hotel style rooms perfect for any occasion or group outing. There are several long areas, some even have fireplaces, to sit back with friends and relax in. The whole atmosphere it truly peaceful and one to soak in and refresh in.

Lot’s of good to say about this place as a retreat center. Surprisingly good wifi for a place that’s great for unplugging but if you need it, it’s there. But what stood out to me from what other’s have already shared is the kitchen. The kitchen staff are extremely accommodating. They are very willing to work with whatever dietary requirements you have. With them being in the middle of rural farm land my expectations were low but I contacted them in advance and to my surprise they had no problem doing vegetarian, no gluten, or even vegan. So if there’s a diet you’re concerned about maintaining on a potential trip/retreat, don’t rule them out like I almost did. ...

Nicole, the review above this one...sorry but you sound like a complainer. Not every place you go in life is going to meet your every need. Maybe instead of writing a public review, why don't you try talking to someone personally on the grounds. And, if you can't hack the outdoor living, maybe stay at a 5 star hotel. It's a retreat center in the woods. Be glad you don't have to use the woods for your bathroom needs. Sorry, but it's people like you who make centers like this feel like they just want to close up shop and go home. I haven't even arrived yet but I know it isn't as bad as you make it sound. Signed, A citizen sick and tired of hearing from...
