Bad Axe Motel — Hotel in Colfax Township

Booked a 1 night stay through Travelocity and I ended up having to cancel due to change of plans. Afterwards, there was an urgent family family. I booked it around 2 pm Saturday for Sunday. I asked about a refund and was told I couldn't get one because I cancelled after the 48 hour timeframe. I cancelled it about 1hr 40 min AFTER I made the reservation. My check in time was in the afternoon on Sunday. Needless to say, I'm out that money and I'm not happy at all. It's not like I cancelled last minute but I guess if you are to book a room, make sure give yourself like a 3 day advance in case you need to cancel, if you want a refund. Don't make any spontaneous or last minutes plans because if you need to cancel, you won't...

This was the most dirty unclean place we have stayed at on our trip. We had a bed and were out of the elements so that was a good thing. I do not know who gives this place 4 stars! We were so tired so decided to just stay there one night which is what we had booked, but will never again stay in that motel. I apologized to my wife for booking this place many times. The pictures they show are not what we saw. It must have been new when they took the pictures. We didn't even have a place to hang our cloths up on so we draped them over the bathroom door. On top of all this they charged me $95.40 for the night with I was quoted $79.50. ...

I stayed at Bad Axe Motel on 12/25/2020. Mike was awesome.....he opened up the room for my son and I and got the heat all set for us and we settled up with him that evening. It was greatly appreciated after finishing up the coldest hunt my son and I have ever done.

The room was the best motel we ever stayed at. The beds were super clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, all functional, and updated. The room had a nice Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, and an awesome Kitchenette. All utensils were clean and ready to go. Also a nice updated TV.

This will be our first choice for future travels/hunts in the Northern Thumb...
