Cabins & Candlelight — Hotel in Colfax

Just getting home and couldn't wait to write a review ..we stayed Tuesday til Friday.. we celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary and 18 years together ❤️ we aren't go on a trip kind of ppl but I am so happy we agreed to this trip . Its secluded and very beautiful.. the cabin was clean had all of my cooking utensils already in there..just bring food . The cabin has some food but the amount of time we stayed I'm glad there was a walmart 20 minutes up the road.. we stocked up on what we needed and never left the cabin again.. it was surrounded by The Most High creations.. it was an awesome trip.. cell phone worked a bit on the screened in back porch but wasn't needed at all.. if you are thinking of a secluded cabin get away THIS IS IT.. we loved every moment of it.. Thanks to the owners for a well thought out couple get away..only thing I would add besides bringing food is bringing water.. book this cabin and enjoy a little bit of silence and peace.. until next time The Mckay's. P.S. the Ghost movie that was already in the cabin took me wayyyy back..best love story...

Cabins and Candlelight is a cabin rental property about an hour Northwest of Indianapolis Indiana. My wife and I learned about the place and stayed here for one evening. In a word; outstanding!! Beautiful log cabins, expertly decorated and accented on the inside and out. We walked into the place and it looked like a model home. I mean this place was immaculate. The interior is amazing - open concept with stone fireplace (that easily turns on with the flick of a light switch), hot tub, gorgeous kitchen with all the amenities, comfy (Sleep Number) bed, and very nice bathroom. The hosts provided notes in different areas of the cabin explaining how to use things and their policies. These were helpful and informative. We’ve stayed in a lot of places, and this is amongst the best. Nestled in a lovely spot along the banks of Sugar Creek, this place is ideal for a romantic getaway. We rented both cabins for a local getaway with our 93-year-old grandmother. The cabins were comfortable, clean and well appointed with every amenity you could imagine. The setting was gorgeous! We enjoyed hearing all the birds and seeing deer, raccoons, bunnies and many other animals. The cabins were immaculate and we couldn't believe how comfortable our stay was -from the sleep number bed to the screened-in porch. We walked the paths along the beautiful property at twilight and the lightning bugs made the forest absolutely magical. The cabins are far enough from one another to feel remote but close enough for visiting. Granny's favorite part was the beautifully carved mantle and the birds. Our favorite part was the serene setting and all the comforts of home. It was a perfect retreat and a wonderful place to make memories and simply be together. We will definitely stay here again!
