We almost stayed here, but we were afraid for our lives.
Last December, it was dark and raining and traffic was moving at about five miles per hour-- when it was moving at all. We decided to go to the hotel on the nearest exit, which happened to be the Lincoln Lodge.
We were moving from VA to WI, with our two cats. We got a room, and mentioned the cats, so we were told we would be changing rooms to be in the smoking/pets area. This was okay; I expected that.
Once we got to the room, however, we realized that this was the place hookers went to die.
There was an odd, musty smell. There was a tiny TV that was not plugged in to the cable and did not work otherwise. The bathroom had a stand-up shower, with the floor mostly rusted green, like a corroded penny. There was a brownish-red smear on the wall that was most likely either blood or feces. Everything was discolored, and there was a scratching sound inside the wall, which my fiancée suggested could be mice.
After checking all the drawers and under the bed for corpses, I used the toilet, which had a stain on the inside but was otherwise clean. When I was finished, my fiancée and I deliberated for a bit; it was storming pretty badly outside, and dark enough to only see a few feet ahead. Still, we wanted to live, so we eventually decided to leave the hotel and find somewhere with a lower mortality rate.
However, upon checkout, we were informed that there were no refunds-- as previously mentioned, this was where hookers went to die, and thus if you spent more than a half hour within one of their rooms, they had to assume you had a successful business transaction with a red light worker and now wished to leave without paying for a well-used room. I tried to explain that this was not the case and that the room we were given put me in fear of my life, and left out that I needed the refund to pay for the check for sexual diseases I would no doubt need after sitting on their toilet for more than five minutes.
I was refused, and decided that my life was worth more than $50; I left, and went to a Red Roof Inn not more than fifteen minutes' drive from there in Lafayette. I mentioned that we had come from the Lincoln Lodge, and the man behind the counter gave us a free upgrade to the best room they had, and threw his employee discount on top of it.

Read moreDISGUSTING - IRRESPONSIBLE - UNACCEPTABLE. We had a confirmed reservation with a credit card but when we got there at 12:30 AM and we were told the motel was full. I showed the front desk person my confirmation for 2 nights that I printed from my computer. He told me it could not be right because; 1- they do not have a computer and 2- they only rent for the week. I was then told they did have two rooms and he wanted to show them to us. The night manager used his key to open the first room and walked right in which woke up the sleeping guest! Second and third rooms had dirty walls and mold in the showers. We went to the parking lot and called other hotels for about 30 minutes but could not find anything. The manager came out to tell us he had another room. After he showed it to us, I asked if he could leave me a brush and cleaning supplies so I could scrub it myself, but he did spend 15 minutes cleaning the bathtub. The sheets and pillows had dark stains and were so disgusting that we slept in our clothes with a hood over our heads. I asked for toilet paper and he brought me 2 small rolls without enough for even one use combined. We asked for towels and the things he brought us were disgustingly worn and had holes in them. The 3 hangers locked into the closet were sticky and over a table which had a microwave on it so the "closet" was useless. The bathtub did not drain and the rust stains were disgusting. They required that we pay upfront for both nights but we slept the second night somewhere else. The phone number on their webpage and listing does not work. When I got there, I asked him about the telephone and he told me that I was not calling the motel but the owner's cell phone in another city; "Why would I expect the owner to answer his cell phone for me?" were his...
Read moreThis place was absolutely disgusting. I rented two rooms for my graduation the local rooms were completely booked up so I went out a little ways and took whatever was available I should have looked at the reviews before I took this. When I arrived I almost had an asthma attack my kid did have an asthma attack and had to go sit outside. The sign is falling off the front of the building and is ripped the interior entrance is filthy and I knew right away I should not check in but I did. I refused to bring any of my belongings into the rooms I went to nearby Frankfort Dollar general and bought a gallon of bleach disinfectants odorban bath and shower mold and mildew killer tilex I bought a thing of scrubbies. I also brought carpet fresh. I had one room for us girls and another room for the guys. Our room smelled so horrible I went down to the guy's room and I didn't think it was possible but the guy's room stunk worse than our room. I scrubbed away disinfected everything the walls the curtains the pillows the comforters the toilet the sink and I still couldn't stomach the smell.
we left they said they would return our money to our card so we'll see if that actually happens. They said it would take several days. We drove to Lafayette and begged and begged till we got to open available room. I literally felt like if I stayed there with all the black mold and the people that were lurking around we probably wouldn't wake up in the morning one or the other would have killed us. I went on Facebook live and put videos up the videos show the walls and so many other disgusting things but I've added a few pictures here these pictures do not represent half of the disgusting nastiness that goes...
