The owner of this cabin resort is the nicest most selfless man. Him and his staff made my families stay so incredible. They went way above and beyond for us. I was there on my own with my four children and my mom who is terminally ill and cannot do really anything. Josh and his staff cooked for us dinner and lunch and dropped it by our cabin every day we were there. It was delicious home-cooked food. He even made my infant fresh homemade baby food! They checked in with us constantly to make sure we didn’t need anything. They built my kids an igloo!! Which I would’ve never dreamed of doing, they took them on a snowmobile ride, they drilled holes in the lake out front of our cabin so that they could ice fish and got them all set up with supplies to fish with. They brought tubes so that my kids could tube down the sled hill. They built us a fire- twice. Because after our second night, our fire burnt out. They never complained. They were never rude. They were always very quick to come whenever we would call. They even aired up my rental car tire for me. I expected to pay for a cabin and go out and play in the snow for a few days, and these men far exceeded my expectations of what renting this cabin would be. The kids loved Josh, they would look out the window to see him and his staff to see what they were doing as they would pass by. And we had a trip that we will never forget. The cabin itself is very nice, has everything you need, it’s cozy, modern, has Plenty of sleeping space. It had TV and Internet. It has a staircase that I was nervous about with the baby but Josh provided me 2 brand new baby gates upon arrival to block it off. So kind. He did not have to do that. Or any of this extra stuff but he did, and that was what made this stay really stand out to us. A cabin is great, but that hospitality is nearly unheard of, by a total stranger. Josh and his staff also loaded us up on hot cocoa and coffee, and some other treats, a cute book for my kids. They were incredibly kind attentive, and informative before we ever came, as I had a lot of questions being on my own. And that mannerism just stayed through the entire trip and even after we left he made sure that we made it back down the mountain safely. Definitely recommend this place, already have told others about it. And our family...
Read moreWe were given the best gift when we received a two night getaway for their Eater Giveaway.
We stayed 2 nights in the luxury 2 bedroom cabins with a loft.
This place is a dream. All the finishes were high end. The bedding was wonderful and the kitchen was equipped with everything you need. There was also good internet with movie streaming.
Upon arrival, we were shown our cabin and they started a campfire for us. We were torn. Outside was magical, but the cabin was a dream, so you just never knew where you wanted to be the most.
We stayed up late watching movies and playing games. It was wonderful time with our family.
We ate multiple meals there. All I can say is, I haven’t had better food anywhere. We were served prime rib, baked potatoes, Brisket, ribs, pork butt, smoked turkey breast, fried fish from Alaska in a candied corn bread batter (the best I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled the world) , salads, roasted asparagus, zucchini, funnel cakes, ice cream and more! It was a feast at every meal!
We have enjoyed countless trips to the Grand Mesa in our lifetime, but this will be the trip that we always look back on as being the best. The best food. The best accommodation. The best location. The best memories.
Thanks to Josh and to your family and team for creating a perfect memory for my family. We really hope to come back again and make more memories! We are watching all of your posts and are super excited to come to your restaurant and eat more of anything you make! It is all so fresh and homemade with high quality ingredients! Thank you for a...
Read moreThis lodge is truly one of those rare places that feels like a secret escape from the rest of the world. Tucked away on the beautiful Grand Mesa, it offers peace, luxury, and the kind of quiet that’s almost impossible to find anymore. The main lodge features two private bedrooms and a cozy loft, comfortably sleeping between 8 and 16 guests. Every corner of the space feels thoughtful and inviting — from the high-end furnishings to the rustic touches that make it feel like home.
Outside, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The views stretch for miles, and in the evenings, the night sky turns into a blanket of stars brighter than you could ever imagine. There’s a lovely outdoor fire pit where you can unwind, roast marshmallows, and listen to the sounds of the forest. Wildlife can often be spotted nearby, adding to the sense of connection with nature.
One of the most special parts of the experience is the food. The owner personally prepares dinner for each cabin on certain nights of the week, and every meal feels like something out of a five-star restaurant. From perfectly cooked salmon to handmade pizzas with incredible sides, the food alone is worth the trip.
This place remains somewhat undiscovered, which makes it even more special. It’s secluded, peaceful, and beautifully maintained — the perfect retreat to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the Grand Mesa. I can’t wait to return and experience it...
