Here is the short one line review before I get into details: I am planning a 2nd trip to GNP just so that I get to stay here again! Yes, you heard that right! GNP in itself is awesome but staying here after a long tiring day, takes all the stress and pain away, literally! Right from booking the stay to leaving the property, Bill & Roz (Rosalyn) made us feel at home at each and every step. As soon as I made the payment after booking the rooms, Bill called me within like 10-15 mins and gave all details or the property and what to expect. He even made sure that we had our Going to the Sun road reservations and how to even secure one without sweating too much! When we arrived at the property, we were greeted by Roz and she gave us a wonderful tour of the property. Speaking of the property - what a location! The sunrises here are beautiful and the property nestled between the mountains, it feels so dreamy here like you are in some country side location in Switzerland! Speaking of hospitality - none of the service and hospitality of any best hotel chains in the world comes near to what Bill and Roz provides. We had a room change in middle of our stay and we didn't even had to worry about it as they would take our bags and move it to your next room. All we had to do was pack our bags before we left. No need to come back from your hike or carry your bags in the car. Breakfast here is the best thing along with the place and rooms. Every day, there is a personalized breakfast spread out with lots of awesome options and is adjusted according to your dietary restrictions if you have any. Let me tell you - do NOT miss the breakfast at this place, you'll really miss it if you do, seriously! Oh, and Every morning during the breakfast, you get to sit and gather along with other guests and discuss all the previous day excursions or what you are going to do in coming days. Bill personally attends to every person at the table and gives out tips on how to best do your outing around GNP, while bringing the breakfast to you! How awesome is that. All throughout the stay, not at any moment you are made to feel like you are an outsider or like people staying at big hotel chains. Just throw in text to Bill or Roz during your stay on what you need and they'll make sure you have what you need. Also, you can rent out all the hiking and outdoor camping stuff from this place including bear spray, hiking poles, umbrellas, jackets etc. Thanks Bill and Roz for a...
Read moreWe had such a great time at Badrock B&B! Bill (host) made us feel genuinely welcomed like we were family or good friends coming to visit. We could tell right away that Bill is very passionate about his work and also in treating his guests exceptionally. Our visit started with Bill giving us a tour of the place and giving us recommendations for fun things to do and places to eat. We didn't get to meet Roz on this trip, but we enjoyed seeing her artwork throughout the house that is beautiful and creative.
Each morning Bill personally served us a delicious, gourmet breakfast that was out of this world! We loved the infused waffles and Huckleberry scones! We enjoyed getting to talk with the other guests and Bill each morning. We got a lot of ideas of things to do while we were there. What a great way to start each day!
They have thought of anything and everything you could possibly want for the perfect vacation... a full game room with a foosball table, a shuffleboard table (my fav!), a pool table and loads of board games. In the game room, there was even a full kitchen in case you want to bake something, put something in the frig/freezer or borrow wine glasses etc. There is also a washer/dryer (with detergent provided!) if you need that. In case you forgot any items for your trip, there are tems that you can borrow---everything from coolers, rain jackets, hiking poles, bear spray...wow!
To relax, you can enjoy one of the two fire pits (one wood and one with blue glowing stones), lay in the two hammocks overlooking the mountains, or stroll around the large property and see wildlife and the free roaming chickens.
The property was very quiet. We never heard any of the other guests and it was full while we were there. It was in a great location between GNP, the airport and Whitefish.
We stayed in the Swan Mt. 2 story cabin and it was very nicely laid out and included a great view of the mountain. The bed was extremely comfortable and there is a heater and ac for...
