
Mimosa Landing Campground is overlooking the Pearl River in Columbia, MS. It is a campground with lots of trees, which is the best and worst factors. There is lots of shade but getting into some back in sites can be a challenge. We had site 53 which was great. The two sites next to us have been abandoned due to erosion so we had a very open space overlooking the river. We had to back in between two trees using narrow roads. There are pull through sites. The road entering the park is narrow and the park roads are narrow and hard-packed gravel. There is a pool, pavilion, playground, sand court, laundry, office with limited supplies and dock. Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas a decent campground for the most part, but definitely had some issues. I loved the views of the river and campsites were nice and shady. Pool was decent. The negatives for us is we have kids and there are a lot of workers living in the park which means a lot of men just hanging around and beer settling out on tables. So of course they was all parked right at the playground so didnāt feel safe letting our kids just go play or ride their bikes alone. The bathrooms were spider dens and they only had two open. And bathrooms were not gender specific. The worst part was loud diesel trucks cranking up at 5 am which of course...
Ā Ā Ā Read morethe camp ground was nice and clean. the lady at the front was really nice, but the man follows you around. we were swimming and he was sitting there watching us the whole time. it was very uncomfortable and he was yelling saying we were "destroying" the place. the bathroom were dirty bc we went hiking and sleeping in tents. so we had to shower off and so yes the floor was dirty. but its a campground? not like we were littering or something. very disappointed with the experience...
