My family stayed at Lake Pines for almost 2 years. The location of the park is great and located near basically everything you would need. The park is old and could definitely use some TLC. The roads in the park need attention, as well as most of the buildings around the park. For example the bath house could use regular cleaning and there was not sufficient hot water to take more than a quick shower. The pool is a nice amenity but it could also use work. The pool deck is crumbling and pieces of cement are constantly falling in, stickers are used to mark the depth of the pool which fall off after time, and the light in the deep end shocks you if you swim up and touch it. It could also use regular cleaning. The laundry room is basic and old. It needs cleaned and the machines need fixed. The park could be a wonderful place if it was maintained and updated better.

Now for the more personal part of my review. The owners asked us to remove 3 items from our site. We complied in a timely manner and thought everything was fine. We exchanged pleasantries regularly with Connie and the other office staff, my husband assisted Kenny when moving an rv because of a fallen tree and both of them were pleasant. A couple of weeks later we were contacted by my husband's command because Connie had contacted them demanding we leave, this happened 3 times, the only time my family was ever asked to leave is when I had a hand thrown in my face and Connie screamed "and you will be getting notice too!". The police were then called with accusations of vandalism, after that our friends at the park were told that they better not associate with my family or kids or else they will be on their radar as well. We have left the park (because we chose to, NOT because we were made to) after weeks of constant harassment from Connie, Kenny, and their office staff. I was also told I would be receiving a refund on our monthly spot rent after leaving. I have yet to receive anything back from them and they do not answer any of my phone...

This is a nice campground in a pretty good location, run by very pleasant people. We had a miscommunication at the start, and they resolved that about as well and professionally as we could ask for. We stayed for two months, and would definitely stay there again. I've seen complaints about speed bumps, but even as someone who hates speed bumps in general, I say the ones in this campground are not bad at all. We didn't try cable or campground Internet, as we watch very little TV and by habit use our own cells' hotspots for Internet, so I can't comment on those. Both my TMobile and my wife's Verizon got great signals, so we had plenty of Internet bandwidth here. We've been places with one or both very poor, like where we are now. We're also self-contained, so we didn't use the bathrooms, though we did use the laundry once, and it was fine. Bring quarters, of course. Usually washing in our rig, we don't think about that. There are shooting ranges not far off, as well as train tracks between the park and the main road, so expect some noise, but we didn't find it unpleasant. There are some fairly short, flat trails within the campground, which is nice for a little leg-stretching, and plenty of more serious hiking/cycling trails not far off, including a gorgeous "River Walk" in Columbus, and across the river in Phenix. There are also a lot of other things nearby, like restaurants and grocery stores. We stayed in a 45' fifth wheel toy hauler, and our (back-in) site was plenty long enough to fit the trailer and park the truck and bike in front of it. The site included a picnic table and a fire ring, which we made...

My family and I stayed at lake pines for 1 year. The campground looks nice at first glance entering with the pond and event center on both sides. You'll immediately notice the road that needs to be redone from entry to around the whole park. Once you enter you'll see the event center is taken care of very well once past there it's in need of TLC. The office and laundry house need renovation, the laundry machines need upkeep and maintenance. The community room attached to laundry house is only for groups, not long term stay guests. The playground in unsafe and falling apart, really needs to be redone. The bath house has been closed since the beginning of the pandemic but that's probably for the best. It's very dark, damp, outdated, undercared for. The campground is surrounded by trees which is great for shade but bad for your roof due to branches and pinecones dropping. Many of the trees need trimming or cut down. There is only one dumpster and it will over flow with trash in-between pickups. The campers anywhere near it will smell of waste. The employees do not have any identification, which is a safety concern. They tried to approach my child at the playground when I was sitting outside my camper asking personal questions, I stopped them from asking anything else. The owners could use some work in communication. We had no prior knowledge and they never brought it up to us, they contacted the garrison command on my husband and two other military families saying we were a nuisance and to shut down a Facebook page we were members of (not admins). We were under the impression of being in good graces with them and...

Update Feb 2, 2023: (Apparently Lake Pines is NOT the campground I stayed at. My apologies for the mix up) .Large RV campground with average sized lots. Not many trees in the middle for shade. Some spots have concrete pads. A few have picnic benches. There is a pond in the back for fishing if you really need to. $1.50 for wash it dry. Propane refills are $20 for 5 gallons. Close to the interstate without much traffic noise. Small street is adjacent to Arbys. A couple eating places, including Waffle House are within walking distance.

Stayed here for a few nights over Labor Day weekend. Nicer than we expected. We did a late check in and our info was waiting for us when we arrived at the after hours area. Walking trails for doggies, a pool and they had a exceptionally nice pancake breakfast on Saturday morning that we really enjoyed. The staff went above and beyond to answer all of our questions about the area and even looked up my good Sam info because I didn’t have it availiable. Great spot for short or long term camping

This was our third stay at Lake Pines and it will always be a stop as we come through this area. Spaces are level. Laundry facilities are nice. They helped make sure we could extend our time during the uncertainty of Hurricane Ian. When our Florida park opened earlier than expected they gladly refunded our extended stay. The park is clean, friendly and close to the highway.
