I have stayed at this hotel several times when visiting family in the area and I have had a consistently wonderful experience. The rooms have a very upscale look for a much more reasonable, affordable price. Impeccably clean and nicely decorated. Average cost is around $100 (give or take according to days of the week). The friendly staff are very accommodating and helpful. They have a spa, pool and gym available and some rooms have fireplaces in them. There is a 'Grand Room' lobby area that is really nice and comfortable and there is free wifi available throughout the hotel. A lovely, enclosed courtyard off the lobby area too. If you are looking for a restaurant, there is one connected to the hotel at the casino next door. The casino installed upscale air filter cleaners and the air smells clean and fresh now instead of smoke filled throughout the casino and restaurants. If you are interested in gambling they offer new patrons $20 in free play, plus many discounts throughout the casino, restaurants, hotel and events. The machines in the casino have a nice floor plan-layout and pay out pretty well. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone (including families with children) for it's cleanliness, comfort, value and pleasant/helpful employees. Oh, and one last thing,...the beds are very comfortable and the...
Read moreAs a VIP (Black Diamond) of Colusa Casino Resort, I am very blessed and fortunate to have Wayne Chou as my Casino Host who always takes exceptional care of my needs as well as my ohana (family) and sets me up with room accommodations at the River Valley Lodge (RVL). I was there this weekend to use my offers for my 9th Anniversary as a Colusa Casino member (offered in May, but expires by June 30). As always, the staff at RVL are so hospitable; when I enter thru their front entrance, I'm already greeted personally by name before they even look me up in their computer. Crystal, Abel, Adam and the rest of the staff are so friendly, kind, courteous, helpful, etc... and treat you with a warm-hearted welcoming feeling. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. If you are in this area of Northern Cal, I highly recommend this hotel to rest your head or if it's not time for bed, then go downstairs to try your luck at the adjoining Casino or to enjoy their delicious tasting food at the Wintun Dinnerhouse, Season's Buffet, Jack's Place, Snack Bar, etc. or grab a sandwich, panini, pastries and/or favorite drink at Peet's Coffee or go shopping at...
Read moreWe were looking for lodging north of Sacramento and I just happened to search for casinos near Sacramento and Williams Ca.. We had not heard of the town of Colusa or the casino, but saw it was only about 15 minutes off of I5 and it had the River Valley Lodge. Off we go and what fun we expierenced. The rustic wood of the hotel was unique and charming. The front desk was friendly and the whole complex looked and felt clean and new. The lodge section is seperated by the casino with electric glass doors. Our king room was spacious with a large bathroom. No noise whatever, but we were on the top 3rd floor.||We had fun in the casino which was uncrowded and NOT smokey. There was a good selection of slots for us and they gave a generous new member free play. There was one nice restaurant in the hotel and one in the casino plus a bar with small plates or appys. We ate at Table 45 in the casino and found the prices reasonable. I had the soup and salad bar with rolls for about $7.99, and it was very good. The casino had a soft drink station and coffee. We look forward to going...
