We have heard great things about The Range and our visit did not disappoint. We booked an open spot with our own Airstream. The spots are quite spacious with level concrete pads to park on. All the spots seemed to have quite a bit of privacy but our spot (2) was very private and quiet. The staff was very kind and helpful. It was clear they enjoyed being there and chatting with guests. We didn’t use the pool but it looks great and we are looking forward to checking it out next time. You can bring your own fire pit (Solo Stove) to use at your site, or there are a few different bonfire options to use near the barn while enjoying a cocktail from the bar. Dog friendly (for open spots) and there was plenty of space to walk them around the park. Lots of new smells for them and they were welcomed by everyone. We went to the Saturday night pizza dinner and our only regret was not having gone to the Friday night burger dinner. Woodfired pizza was fantastic and we got to try a bunch of different kinds in a family style layout. Was surprised that there were so many people dining with us that weren’t staying at the resort. The couple next to us had actually just been to the pizza dinner a couple weeks prior and were back with their family. Overall, I’d highly recommend The Range for either a rental spot or an open spot. The vibe is great. It has a secluded luxury feel where your camping in the woods but still have access to nice amenities. We already have a spot for a rally in February but are hoping to find some more time to spend...

Set in a slightly wooded oasis, we were warmly welcomed by our host Sarah and daughter Becksa. This greeting held excitement that is usually reserved for special reunions...and it was authentic. Sarah then shepherded us to our vintage 1953 Bolero Aero...where we nestled into the Thanksgiving weekend. We did not have the Chef Lucy catered Thanksgiving meal (which by all accounts was fabulous)...but we did enjoy the cold cleansing Texas ales on offer...some left over pecan and pumpkin pies...and a healthy dose of fire that provided our connection to other adventurous travelers. This would be repeated on a nightly basis culminating in an incredible meal on Saturday night. And then a walk over to a shimmering dream land canopied provided by two oaks trees. It was at that moment that the puzzle...that is The Range...started upon our arrival...was now complete. And it spelled HOME. If you want to feel and remember the freedom (in CV compliant ways) of connection...you could do little better than The Range. That feeling of completion only happens when a good idea is wrapped in a whole lot of love for what is being done here. It is a magical place if you allow your guard to drop and embrace the warmth of the food, fire, hosts and guests alike. We did...and are a whole lot...
