Sweetwater at Lake Conroe — Hotel in Conroe

It was all good I guess but the pools kept closing due to “Lightning” even though there wasn’t dark clouds or rain. The sky’s were blue with white fluffed clouds. They said come back tomorrow and than they now say the pool is closed due to “A kid having an accident (pooping) in pool. Although the people that were there said no one did. I mean, we had a great time like playing tennis having family over and going to the lake, but we came mostly for the pool since we don’t have a pool at our house, and we couldn’t even go to the pool when we had our family over. We came last spring and they said the exact same thing. The life guards are grumpy and not much help, but as I said we still had a great time but still a little disappointed. The location was great... A short walk to the pool, and a view of the lake behind it... The space, and layout itself was also very adequate...it just overall has a dated feel ....as well, The reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 star was the check in process... . We came a day late, and this was not smooth as a consequence.. the office appears to close Sundays..and no one answered the phone when I called. So I left a message... Eventually, The answering service called back and only provided spotty check in information... -(they knew our room number, but not where the black box was that contained our entry door key) Small thing in the big pidture, but worthy of a mention... Overall, a good...

It was cheaper than others, so I thought I stumbled upon a great deal, but you truly get what you pay for. While the grounds of the property are amazing, the rental is old and outdated. The wooden fixtures, old tiling, and thin carpeting remind me of Three's Company. The internet is snail-like, and when we entered, there actually was an older people stench. I wish this all was an exaggeration, but alas.

Overall, if you are searching for just a place to lay your head, it's perfect. If you desire your residency to accommodate a vacation "experience,"...
