We found very little information about this campground online and didn’t know what to expect, so wanted to share our experience. We absolutely loved it! We had sites 18 and 16 - both were huge. 18 backs up to a large day use area and has a path down to the “swimming hole.” Site 16 has a trail down to the creek (Salt Creek) and a little pebble beach. We camped when it was 90 degrees and it was at least 10 degrees cooler sitting down by the water. The water was crystal clear and beautiful. There is one water pump in the back of the pump house by site 21, but the camp host said it didn’t taste great so we used it only for washing dishes. Oakridge is a close drive if you need extra ice, water or groceries. Bathrooms and sites were very clean. I included a map (that was not easy to find) so you can see the layout. I would avoid 21-24 as they are really close to the road. We didn’t actually see sites 3-6 because they are walk-in, but they are right on the creek and I bet are dreamy! Of what we saw, I would say 16, 17 and 18 are the best spots. Only downside was train noise but it didn’t bother us. Great campsite to access Waldo, Odell and Crescent Lakes, as well as Salt Creek Falls. We spent an entire day paddle boarding and kayaking at Waldo Lake’s Shadow Bay (no mosquitos as of 8/22/25). Would definitely camp here again - it’s beautiful.

First a foremost, I want to let others know that this is not the Blue Pool! Several people came by while we were camping, trying to find it. It doesn't help that several others have posted pictures of the Blue Pool on this campgrounds page. The actual blue pool is several hours away. Secondly, the site was nice. However, a bathroom when you first enter the site is heavily graffitied and vandalized. It wasn't in working condition. There is graffiti all through the campsite. The campground host wasn't present the day and night I was there. They had a chain around their front door and a boot on their golf cart. This was a telling sign that the site may not be secure. Overall, it's a beautiful site. People are trashing it, though. Lastly, it is right by the road so there is road traffic and also train noise.

The site was very clean and well maintained. Site 15 is a beautiful site with a fire pit and plenty of room for an RV and a tent. The sound of the river was peaceful and with easy access to a trail which backs onto the river. The host warned us not to leave anything out as they had had a few robberies including one in daylight. That was a little unnerving but it can happen anywhere so doesn't affect my rating. I would stay here again!

Pretty run down, only accepts cash for the day use pass so come prepared. No easy water access and the trails are sketchy. We visited the immediate day use area only. The camping is tent only and very few had picnic tables or BBQ grills. There was a massive rock cooking thing with a tiny pit and sheet metal top... Not sure what you'd do with that. It's an odd little area. We only spent the free allowable 30 minutes there because we didn't have cash. The camp host checked our vehicle multiple times in that short amount of time as well. We just wanted some time in the woods and water, instead we were made to feel uncomfortable and a bit harassed. The passive aggressive behavior of the camp host and his need to make sure he got his 9 bucks was too much. I was happy to pay, I didn't even think to bring cash. We went to McCredie instead and had...
