We stayed in the Champagne Sunset suite and loved it! This room has lovely accents including an led wall mounted fireplace/heater, bath robes, a king size bed, wine glasses, mugs and a cute box with tea, coffee, etc. The check in process was seamless because Leon as the host is responsive and detailed. He made our stay special by having seating available in front of our suite for some dark sky gazing. We saw two shooting stars, it was perfect. During the stay, the bed and bedding were comfortable and the shared bathroom had a nice shower and some toiletries for us as guests. The area was quiet and the posted quiet hours were nice to see as well. The added bonuses were the llamas and a very nice outdoor cat who came to visit sometimes. The stay was wonderful, I highly recommend.

Wonderful ambiance!! The location allowed us to immerse ourselves in the local wine scene. Loved the comfort and natural beauty of the B&B. Our Blues room with a big comfortable king bed was just remodeled with new floors, paint and a corrugated metal bath. The private patio was also nice for listening to nature and watching the hummingbirds. We were the only guests here on Thursday adding to the peace and tranquility. The highlight was listening to Leon perform his blues act!! Dawn jumped in with some excellent harmonica accompaniment. It’s easy to see why he is a Hall of Famer, his guitar playing skills are outstanding and his voice is blues all the way!! Also loved the alpacas, so fun watching the newborn. Don’t hesitate book your stay!

First time staying at a BNB and... WOW!! What a beautiful vacation! We stayed with 3 other couples and had the most amazing trip. Jay(owner/host) is the coolest guy around. He took our group wine tasting, hiking along the creek, cooked an amazing dinner, played a private blues concert, served us his homemade wine all day/night and set up a fire for us to finish off the evening. You will not be disappointed! His property/home is so quiet and peaceful. You can even play with the neighbors alpacas. Every person that we traveled with already wants to go back. Look forward to seeing you soon Jay and Alex!

Positives: Quiet location. Leon was gracious and welcoming. Concerns: #1 -- The bed. We stayed in the Garden Suite. The bed has a headboard against the wall... arm rests on each end. It was a challenge to get in/out of bed during the night due to the arm rests...on each "side end" of the bed. I've never slept in a bed like this..the mattress "sags" in the middle....It was a challenge... #2 - Garden Suite... Nice iris beds and a few hyacinth starting to bloom. There was a pot shelf that had numerous dead plants on it.. suggest trimming .. kind of depressing. Several trash bins with visible trash within our site..#3 No napkins/paper towels... The Keurig is not stable ... not enough counter space...risk for spill ... on person... or floor.. which happened to me... no rags or towels to clean it up..I used a bathroom face cloth... Consider removing one shelf to make more room for plates/safe placement of Keurig and beverages #4 - We luckily had cloth napkins in our car as we brought our own food.... #5... We do love animals... Keep your plates covered if you're eating outside. The sweet dog likes to beg and is very skilled at it... but listens to sit and lay down.. The darling cat... being a cat... likes to walk on the table... I left my chair momentarily and she was in my food... my husband was reading and she had her face in his food.. we discarded the remaining food on our plates... we have had outdoor cats and know what other critters they like to consume... Leon did comment after hearing us telling the cat "no" ... that he fed the cat so she wouldn't bother us anymore.......#6 - wasn't sure how to get the heater to turn on... sent a text... no response... it took about 5 minutes for it to kick in... #7 - we did get a check out reminder and were offered a free logo glass. We had already left and didn't recall seeing them in the room. #8 - Paid $25 for early check in.. appreciated.. The 3 "auto reservation reminders" indicated a 3 pm check in.. I texted to confirm that we did have a 1 pm check in... No response.... I did call and it was...

I was the photographer for a wedding at ACL yesterday. Of the many weddings I've been privileged to photograph, this one is the very best EVER because of some specific things:

  1. The couple who own the place are not only "on site," they are part of the whole production. During the setup of the indoor and outdoor facilities, they were in work gear hustling about with their crew of helpers converting the rooms and outdoor areas into the perfect venue for a small (40 people) gathering of family and friends. When the festivities began, the owners and crew changed into event appropriate clothing. They're a class act!
  2. More about the owners and their crew: they were ATTENTIVE! They regularly checked with the bridal party, the guests, and me to see if we needed anything from a bottle of water to major adjustment in preceedings.
  3. The wedding ceremony took place under a beautifully decorated outdoor gazebo. A nearby pool table was draped in white where the newlyweds' photos and other items helped set the mood.
  4. The property is in a little high-desert community (Cornville AZ) where the mood is rural, down-home America. Acoustic Cellars Lodge has that same ambiance. The main lodge and outbuildings are designed to look comfortable in the trees, hills, and farmland that surrounds them. (Be sure to ask about the "story" of the lodge.)
  5. The main that Acoustic Cellars Lodge provides for its guests is a sense of comfortable, cared for intimacy. Oh, and a couple alpacas that will "kiss" animal crackers from your lips!
  6. Hint: Do you like the soul of Delta Blues...

My wife and I stayed here first in September 2020 (Blue Room) and again just recently in September 2023 (Champagne King Room). As soon as we arrived, we experienced again the warm, familiar and comfortable amenities that Acoustic Cellars had offered us 3 years prior. This location is conveniently situated in the middle of Verde Valley but still tucked away from all of the crowds & noise. The beds and pillows were as clean and comfortable as my own and the sanitized bathroom had all the hot water & toiletries we desired. Owners Leon & Dawn did ABSOLUTELY everything they could to make our experience memorial from the time I made the online reservation to welcoming us upon our arrival to ultimately personally wishing us well upon our departure. They even ensured we were aware of all of the best wineries, restaurants, and block parties. We will stay here again soon and maybe try one of the other suites. Can not recommend this...
