All in all, it's a good place to stay and I'd definitely stay there again in the future if I'm ever going to be near the Council Bluffs, IA/Omaha, NE area. The hotel has some age, it's been around a while. Although it's located near the interstate, we didn't really hear traffic noise, it was actually quiet. The bathroom area was so-so. The tub and toilet are in the bathroom and the sink is separate, being just outside the bathroom near the entry door. The tub felt a bit squishy, not sure if it was getting weak in the floor. Soap, shampoo, body wash, etc are not provided in individual bottles or bars. Instead they are in dispensers with hand soap and lotion being near the sink and body wash and conditioning shampoo being in the shower. No huge complaints with that but the body wash was empty but my family and I had brought our own. The floors could use a good wet mop as it seemed our socks would get a little discolored. The A/C, TV, mini fridge, microwave, and mini coffee maker all worked great. Our room also included an ironing board, iron, and a small hairdryer. The 2 queen sized beds were neatly done, and clean. They weren't bad to sleep on for the 3 nights we stayed. I'm always a sucker for free breakfast and I enjoyed it each morning. There was an assortment of cereal, oatmeal packets, assorted pastries/muffins, assorted breads, biscuits, yogurt, sausage gravy, sausage links, scrambled eggs, apple juice, orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate packets, waffle batter and waffle iron, and maybe a thing or 2 I didn't mention but it was a good arrangement of items. I think the one thing I was most satisfied with was the location. It seemed like a short drive to get to any of the destinations we wanted to go to. Then when it was time to come back for the night, it was so convenient to get back to. The 2 ladies that operated the desk were both pleasant. They were very friendly and my wife could easily strike up a conversation with them. I know that I mentioned a few shortcomings but I still have no problem giving this location a 5 star rating. It's hard to please everyone. We're all human and it can be easy for a thing or 2 to be missed during cleaning, but it's nothing that should ruin your day. I look at hotels as just being where I lay my head at night. The positives (cost, convenient location, friendly desk employees, complimentary breakfast), just to name a few, by far outweigh the few...
Read moreI stayed at the BridgePointe Inn & Suites for one night while traveling from Florida to Seattle, Washington.
This hotel is right off of the interstate (which is closed in the area, but is still right off of the road where traffic goes through) so it is extremely convenient in that aspect. The location of the actual hotel itself was not my favorite, one side being behind two gas stations and the other being behind houses. It did not feel like the most secure location, but Stephanie at the front desk assured me that when the weather is nice outside, she walks two blocks home, so that made me feel better.
Check in was quick, easy, and efficient. They also have a text messaging system that sends you messages and you could text back to the same if you needed anything.
The room was clean, the bed was really comfortable, and it was very quiet at night. I used the ice machine and water bottle fountain in the morning, but did not eat breakfast (because I left too early) so I do not have any comment on the breakfast.
Despite the initial feeling of the hotel not being in the best area, especially as a solo traveller with a TON of personal belongings in the car, I was reassured by the staff. The actual hotel is clean, great for the price, and an overall good option to stay! I would stay here again if I was ever...
Read moreGreat place to stay if you like having all your stuff rifled through.... I'm currently staying here with my family. My husband, myself and our two young daughters checked in yesterday October 18th around 3pm, we checked in, placed our luggage in the room and left to go visit family. When we left our luggage zippers had been left completely closed, (and I remember specifically making sure they where closed when taking them out of the car so nothing would fall out) we placed our bags and immediately left, didn't open them. But when we get back to our hotel at 8pm all our luggage bags are completely open and messy, someone had gone through them and it wasn't us. Also side note, we had left a do not disturb sign on our door. My husband went and told the front desk what had happened and Stephanie said she can't really do anything except tell her manager and he can look at security footage that he has at his house. Luckily nothing has been stolen, (we just have clothes and some toiletries) But my young daughters are really scared staying here now and my husband and I feel extremely violated! Our checkout is tomorrow (October 20th) we have been very busy today so hopefully we can get this sorted out tomorrow. But in the meantime we feel really...
