Tucked on a quiet hill of lush ferns and native rain forest plants you will find the Ocean Bluebird B&B. I was greeted by blooming Hostas at the front door. The front living area has huge windows to let in the light, but also shades to pull down when the Alaskan summer light is too much at 11pm. I can't say I saw a bluebird, but I saw tons of eagles flying out to sea each day from the covered porch. Comfy deck furniture and a grill provide you with a great place to cook up your catch of the day. The ever-changing view of St. John's Island and farther islands to the west is always beautiful. You can watch the fishing boats come and go, and see whales as they feed and dance. Inside, ALL the beds are comfy! There are plenty of pillows and an assortment of different weight blankets. The kitchen is well equipped and if you can't find what you need, Don and Lorraine are more than happy to help. Craig is an amazing place to come fish, hike, kayak, and just stroll. The Ocean Bluebird B&B is the perfect spot to rest when you are not out adventuring....

The accommodations are comfortable and they have a closet full of games that you can play and direct tv as well if you wish to just stay in. There are a couple good hiking trails nearby and Eagles hang out in the trees a few hundred yards away. They provide a scrap book that has articles, facts, and things to do as well as maps of the island. They will make sure you find something that you like and tell you where to go to do it. If I make it back to Craig, I will definitely stay...
Read moreThis accommodation was a wonderful surprise. It's a real B+B, since they actually provide food for breakfast. Full-service kitchen is great since Craig didn't have many restaurants open. The B+B is the lower floor of the house -- clean, open, well-lit, comfortable bed, great place. Hosts Don and Lorraine are very personable, attentive and available but not intrusive. We mentioned to them we were there on our anniversary; the next day they left us a card and small gift -- unexpected, nice touch. This place was a "find", we'd go back...
