Great place for an affordable stay

If you're looking for a short stay while RVing the West coast, this place is a good, affordable, quiet place compared to the local area. You sure won't find the peace and quiet anywhere else. During the warmer months the RV park gets heavy traffic and you never know who your neighbor is going to be from one night to the next. And the spaces are fairly close together so if you've got any slide outs on your unit, you'd better believe your window will nearly clip your neighbor's car door when they open it. The WiFi sucks, but if you go to back of park by river/ocean you can just use the free club house access, which is considerably better than the park service. The housekeeping staff is very efficient and reliable. Restrooms are spotless considering their age and style. Office is open 7 days a week year round, so that's a perk. Plus they have fishing/hunting licenses sold there too as well as literature on laws regarding the latter. The tribe that occupies most of the land in the vicinity is friendly, and there local casino right up the road has the cheapest gas prices in a 100...

Loved walking along the grey pebble beach that seemed a bit wild and primitive, the peaceful seclusion was actually quite lovely. Walking further towards the cliffside caves, we got a nice surprise as we witnessed dozens of lazy seals spooning one another as they soaked up the afternoon sun. The park itself needs a bit of rehab but the other rv parks in town were rundown by initial appearance so I'd say this park is better option. The bathrooms are sadly outdated and the sites are cramped. The laundry room wasn't very tidy. If it wasn't for the ocean view, we might have passed. Wifi was actually good. Cable tv needs variety. Oh, you can wash your rv or car here for $5.00! Also, no Uber in this town, so if you don't tow a car and want to see the sites, you'll have to call cab service...and be waiting for 50 minutes or more! What a frustrating experience. And all the taxi services listed in yellow pages might have different names, but it's run by same mom and pop shop! Our driver was nice enough, but windshield was cracked, seats were sandy and kids shoes and toys were on the...

If you are camping with tents, please avoid at all cost. We ended up looking and camped at a county Campground 15 minutes away instead. Sites are not taken care off, firepit are collapsing, pinnic table are falling apart. There are no shades whatsoever Very close to other campsites, we are talking about inches apart. Doesn't feel like a resort or a Campground. Very expensive for what it's offers. Beside the host, there's no employees maintenance the place and it's show. Feel like primitive camping(not the price) 2 stars cause they do have a full bathroom, but we didn't use. If you absolutely need a place to stay overnight in a RV, MAYBE but avoid at all cost!! And we are easy...

We took a month-long trip from Southern Indiana out to the California/ Oregon coast and back through a multitude of states. I must say that Salmon Harbor was my favorite stop along the way. It wasn't just the beauty of the ocean, it was the beauty of the people also who live there. Some of them year-round. Their artwork around their little mobile homes distinguishing them from the next visitor. It made you stop and think about where you were and what you were doing that very moment and to take a mental picture and hold on to it. That makes me so very happy. I miss salmon Harbor and the good people of Salmon Harbor and the lovely people that live all around it.

This lovely waterfront hotel has incredible sunset & sunrise views. Our spacious clean room had a full kitchen and a perfect deck from which I could bird watch evening & dawn: egrets, black-crowned night herons, red wing black birds, swallows, sparrows & more. Seals played offshore, waves crashed in the distance— we’ll be back to enjoy again !
