Holly Hill Chalet — Hotel in Crestline

My husband wanted to surprise me with this little stay and the main reason he booked was for the spectacular view! Well…we had gloomy, foggy weather and couldn’t see the killer view at all. But what we did see was a gorgeous world of black and white, something dark and enchanting and romantic. Like we were trapped and the world could never find us. I have genuinely never seen anything like it. I felt like I was trapped in the Folklore album. We stopped at a grocery store before going up, had small bites and wine for dinner and just lounged all night! This little chalet has everything…a relaxing tub, an awesome record collection, the coziest bed and the ability to just transport you somewhere else and relax you to the core. We loved it so much and hope to return someday! So grateful for our experience...

Incredibly stylish home, breathtaking views, meticulously thoughtful host. Anita has taken an insane amount of care and detail in remodeling her extraordinary chalet and compound high in the clouds at Crestline (yes, she did it all herself, by hand, just ask her about the fascinating Hollywood backstory). Exquisite designer touches made us feel like we stepped out of the pages of Architectural Digest. And then relaxing on the h-u-u-ge deck and tree swing overlooking the mountains, surrounded by deer, hummingbirds, bees (and the occasional curious bear LOL) I had my Snow White moment. Wow, what an amazing stay in this hidden gem! High above the Los Angeles spread, at around 5000ft, you can float in the clouds as you listen to the birds rehearse their latest symphony. Enjoy the mountain air, the expansive yet private garden, or venture out for a nice walk where you might see the hang gliders launch off into space. And if you must, and only if you must, stay inside and catch up on some Netflix, Prime or any of the myriad channels on the big screen tv. Or take a bath. Or drift off in a swing.
