The Kentucky Lakehouse — Hotel in Crittenden

Such a fantastic place to use as a homebase for our family! Our family of 6 fit comfortably and appreciated everything the Kentucky Lakehouse had to offer! Check in process was easy and smooth with great communication from the host. The home was spotless and welcoming.

The kitchen has plenty of room to make meals and the gas grill outside is huge and high quality. We were gone 7 days and only ate out twice, so we made many a meal and all the supplies and kitchen tools were there waiting for us. There's a small fridge in the kitchen, but a full size fridge and freezer in the mud room off of the driveway. We also did about 4 loads of laundry in our time there which was hugely appreciated and essential with four kiddos kayaking and fishing every spare minute they had.

The king bed was very comfortable and our sons appreciated the pull out trundle in the other room. We never felt cramped one bit. We enjoyed evenings on the patio and even roasted some mallows and had s'mores one evening as well.

The location is great- we did the Ark, Mammoth Caves National Park (about 2.5 hours away but well worth the drive) and then the Creation Museum. For the Ark and CM, one tip is to go in the afternoon. If you don't have kids who nap anymore, the crowds die down soooo much after lunch at both locations, but the Ark especially.

The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. We saw maybe one or two cars drive down the road in the 5 days we were there.

Amazing get away from our everyday lives , this lake house was such a wonderful place . We traveled from Illinois, Michigan, Florida and we now have great memories to take back with us and tell everyone about . The home was very spacious and just beautiful very accommodating host and the view was Stunning we truly enjoyed staying at the Kentucky lake house we felt at home we laughed we danced listened to music played games We had so much fun. We did a bonfire we did the kayaks we went to the ark even went to the Goodwill store We went to Walmart a few times we just love Kentucky. thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful, beautiful home. This gorgeous property is the perfect choice for a quiet weekend getaway or a week of fun for the whole family. The location is ideal with access to lots of local attractions.
