My wife and I spent two days in this campground on our way home from Michigan to South Carolina. It is a beautiful place with nice facilities and a very easy check-in process. We have a 28 foot pick up truck camper and we’re able to easily access our flat paved site. The host was very friendly and we enjoyed the beautiful walk-through the campground. There is a very large fishing pond with a beautiful little church on its shores. The only reason for giving a four was the access is by a very narrow winding road. It could be tough to get back here in the dark.

Mark and Nina gave our family the warmest welcome! Checked in on us to ensure we were enjoying our stay, offered the kids popsicles, brought us firewood and even offered us their golf cart. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the 24 hour chapel is pet friendly! We were only there for one night but saw 10-12 hummingbirds, a swan and deer. Rippling Water is a hidden gem and we give our highest recommendation!

A wonderful off-the-road getaway just a couple of miles off I-77. The road to the campgrounds is paved, but it isn’t for the faint of heart. The reward awaits, however! Reservations to camp should be made, as those who find this place don’t ever want to leave! Even the swimming pool was empty much of the time, which in July (when we were there), is amazing!

I stayed in a rustic cabin with 2 of my friends for a weekend. The location was beautiful. Being surrounded by the Appalachian woods was amazing. It’s very secluded, but also very close to the highway for any traveling we had to do.

The grounds were very clean and well kept, not just around the cabins but also near the office and RV sites. The bathhouse was clean, which was pleasantly surprising given the secluded/woodsy location.

The cabin was clean, spacious, and cool despite the warm temperatures. There isn’t a whole lot going on in the immediate area, but Charleston isn’t a far drive (~30 min) if you need to go to a city, or are simply looking for something to do.

The area is also quite safe and very quiet. If there was anything to worry about, you would certainly hear it.

The only issue is the road leading to the location can be very long, winding, and broken down in certain spots but that’s the nature of living in the mountains.

The owners were incredibly nice and accommodating for any and all of our needs. The prices are also very fair. I would certainly...

Absolute worse doe not recommend this campground at all! I explained my husband is handicap and heat intolerant so the owner put us at lakeside 7. Which we booked and Fully paid for over a month in advance. We show up and they tried to put us in a spot on other side away from lake where our camper wouldn’t even fit. When we asked about the slot we paid for they said oh we moved you.because they were staying for a month vs the week we paid for. And Yes they did say because they would get more money(even though we booked first) then said because the other needed 50 amp vs 30. They then tried to move us in a spot with absolutely zero shade or anything we can set up shade and far away from bath house. When I questioned why they didn’t at least call before we made the drive there “oh we don’t call to let people know we are going to screw them over.

Do yourself a favor go anywhere but here all they want is you money and have absolutely no...

We always stay here on our way back and forth from our winter quarters and summer quarters. The staff are super friendly and operate a clean, affordable campground. We highly recommend it! We only overnight it so are unable to speak to other amenitites.

Having read some of the poor reviews... Picky picky picky... U r camping not staying at the Ritz Carlton. We return there year after year. We only stay one night at a time but to us this place is perfect. We had a minor problem last fall and the maintenance guys were out to address it very promptly and were very apologetic and friendly about it.

We agree, the road getting to the place is a bit tricky to maneuver but if you approach from the southern exit on I-77, it is not quite as long and oh gee, you will have to go s l o w... Is it gonna kill you? We are also over 50 feet... Truck and fifth wheel combined.

Indeed, if u didn't like the place, by all means stay away but don't...
