In 1981 I was only 4 years old when my family + other family friends went to BPBR for the first time. We returned the same week every year for just over 10 years, then kids became busy teenagers and vacations revolved around sport tournaments. Then 22 years later the tradition began again; my parents, my brothers and their families, and out of state cousins spend a week together at BPBR! The beach is beautiful and groomed daily, the lake is sandy and clean, and the number lake toys increase each year. Plenty of dock space for your boat, and enough space to roam the grounds without crowding others. Kids enjoy the secret garden, game room, playground, and the candy store. The cabins are so well taken care of - each with the knotty pine walls and ceilings, personal decks with adirondack chairs, comfortable beds, clean and updated floors, and current appliances and fixtures (nothing dated or over used). Sure, there's wi-fi, and TVs, and air conditioning too - but I'd encourage to avoid those things: open your windows, sit on the deck with a coffee or beer and spend time relaxing or catching up with others. Read moreBlack Pine Beach Resort is a gem in the many resorts located on the Whitefish Chain of Lakes. My parents have been going to the resort for close to 20 years. For the past five years, my brother and husband and myself have joined them. It is a true vacation for all of us traveling from Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas, respectively. Two weeks allows us to fish some, hike some, golf some, shop some, grill some, and then repeat the whole process. Whatever your "real" world is - the Scharenbroich's and their staff make sure that during your stay, you truly "vacate" your real world. Their cabins are super clean and kitchens are fully equipped to cook all of the fish that was caught that day. And if cooking your own meal is not on the day's agenda - the resort is close to numerous very nice restaurants. Super wonderful place for families with children still in school - lovely secret garden complete with gnomes and fairies, sandy beach for swimming and a fire pit, playground for the little ones, boats for rent, canoes, boat launch area, etc. etc. etc. ||More concisely - Black Pine...
