Fun At The Lake Resort — Hotel in Crosslake

The Lodge at this resort is perfect for larger gatherings or family reunions. It has 12 bedrooms with most having more than 1 bed in them and almost all have a shared bathroom between 2 bedrooms. The bedrooms all had ceiling fans which was helpful when most of the women I was staying there with wanted the heat bumped up and I was hot. Bedrooms have a cute lodge theme with log beds and pine tree designed comforters. They also have a night stand with lamp, digital clock and a power block to plug phones and tablets to. The kitchen had a large commercial refrigerator and an upright freezer. There was a dishwasher and a large tub sink. There were two stoves and ovens and a small breakfast booth. The dining room had 3 long tables with lots of chairs on both sides. The living room had several arm chairs, 2 sofas and a TV that I was able to hook my laptop to for a presentation. The living area was large enough that we had plenty of room for 10 of us and an instructor to do chair yoga. There was a small patio outside with a fire pit. The facility worked perfectly for our retreat. Now for the negatives: Although there were plenty of pans and utensils, there was only 1 dish towel. There wasn't a single hand towel or bar of soap in any of the bathrooms and only 1 extra roll of toilet paper in the whole lodge. We had to call for more to be dropped off. Although the Lodge had been cleaned out was the little things I noticed, like dead flies and Asian beetles in the window sills and bedroom chairs. When contacting the out of town owner about the facility prior to usage, she was very accommodating and helpful. The caretakers on property were quick to do off extra supplies or bump up the heat when needed. I’ve been coming here with my family since I was three years old. It’s not a modern hotel, no, but it’s in a good location to be away from towns. It is also close enough to good shopping areas in-town. Fishing on the lakes is very fun, and there are more amenities (kayaks, paddle boats, etc.) for guests popping up every time I come. Very clean and family oriented, we rent the big house with a big crowd we have 25 plus. Huge kitchen and living area and nice area outside of house...
