Fred makes you laugh, and Sue is the sweetest lady ever, they do everything but bend over backwards to make your stay here pleasant. We were even fed on Thanksgiving when noone else was open, they have huge hearts and wonderful hospitality. It's not for everyone, but I'll be back if I get a chance. Worst hotel ever! Hard beds, unclean rooms, bugs everywhere, and the most disrespectful employee I've ever encountered. Every night when we got back to the rooms the air conditioner was turned off, even if it was over 100° outside. Plumbing issues caused the hotel to spontaneously close and the manager/sole employee refused to give anyone a refund. I ended up having to call the police. This is a no frills kind of place but the price was good. The owners were super friendly. They offered us food. They had a fire pit with s’mores going. The other guests were also friendly and seemed like family. It is outdated but you can tell they’re trying to keep it clean and revamp it. I saw no sign of bugs which is a big deal to me.
