Our Lady of Fatima Guest House — Hotel in Cullman

Our Lady of Fatima Guest House was absolutely the BEST "home away from home" that we have ever stayed at. Truly. It was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay- and then some. There were even food/snack items available (for a small donation each), so that if someone arrived late and just wanted a quick meal (can of high-quality soup, rice, etc.), then it was available. The attention to detail was impeccable in every aspect. And the location is perfect for quick and easy access to the Shrine; all while still being in a calm and peaceful location.

The host and hostess met us when we arrived, gave us a tour, explained where things were/how to change the thermostat, etc. They also gave us tips on the Shrine schedule; and gave suggestions on what we should make sure not to miss, etc.

We felt very welcomed and "at home" in this guest house. We definitely will be back. No doubt. Many thanks to the host and hostess for their sincere and heart-felt hospitality!

Of note, the Shrine is a must-see. My goodness, the grounds and buildings are beautiful and ornate, yet peaceful. It was a wonderful "refresh" away from the hustle-and-bustle of life. We will definitely go back there, too. We stayed four days and saw most of it, but not all of it (we also visited the St. Bernard Abbey, and Our Lady of the Angels Monastery- both are must-see's, as well. We also wanted to tour the EWTN studio tour, but ran out of time). Take time to do all of it- you will not be disappointed.

My husband and I have been very fortunate to stay at Jill and Keith's guest house twice. Our first visit was shortly after they opened when we stayed in their downstairs apartment and the second, this weekend, upstairs in the main house. Both stays were absolutely wonderful. Jill and Keith have created an exceptionally comfortable, beautiful and peaceful retreat. There is little to compare it to. Certainly not a chain hotel for the welcome, care, and concern we received on both occasions was so warm and genuine. Few AirBnBs put as much thought into literally every detail from multiple seating arrangements, even in a single bedroom, to reading materials, board games, tea, coffee, mineral and still water, and a variety of snacks. The interior decorations they have chosen create such a peaceful, calm and restful atmosphere. On both occasions, we have traveled to the area for difficult family situations but wanted proximity to the Shrine for Mass and prayers. We are so blessed to have found Our Lady of Fatima Guest House. Jill and Keith prayed for us during our travels and stay and I feel certain that they continue to pray for their guests long after they leave. I do hope to see these lovely people again soon. You leave not only rested and relaxed but with new friends...

I highly recommend Our Lady of Fatima Guest House. Jill and Keith were extremely accommodating and friendly with lots of ideas and information when I was in the planning phase of my trip. This property is the closest place to the Shrine to stay. As a runner myself, Keith shared various ideas for distances and paths around the Shrine before I even arrived.

This is the coziest, quietest, most perfect place I have ever stayed. I am very picky about just the right chair for reading, or eating, or lounging, you name it. I was impressed that they had the right chair for any mood I was in!!!!! This was part of an amazing spiritual trip for me. I was able to sit and read in the area by the bookshelves and then transition to the back porch for a quiet dinner watching the sun set behind the mountains. And there were just the right amount and softness of blankets that I could imagine too. This made for an amazing prayer and silent retreat experience for me. The bookshelf was stacked every prayer book I was ever curious about, to just good sit down and read books. There was a game cabinet that was fully stocked for the next time when I bring the kids. The private drive gave me the ease of come and go as I wanted. Everything was perfect. I will...
