OK, its takin me a minute to write a review because I haven’t stopped talking about this place since I left! I had the absolute best time for a person who is not an outdoors person. I went with my BFF (like a sister to me) both recently empty-nesters and wanted and adventure. We had the time of our lives! and my dogs did too! ( I had zip lines for them ) I’m new to camping so I brought everything but the kitchen sink. Lol However, Publix is just around the corner so if you forget something, you can go get it in two seconds. Also, check out the cute little ( kinda big ) pet store/ boutique that’s in town. I don’t remember the name of the place but, it’s behind Publix. The host , They were perfect! You really don’t need for anything! You would think the beds would be uncomfortable? They were perfect too! I’m picky and I’ve stayed at some of the finest hotels and these beds are one of the best! They thought of everything! The campgrounds are just stunning for biking , hiking, kayaking swimming or a morning jog. ( I regret not renting that dock thing that would have been great since I was lake side I was there late Aug and the water was nice..even for a Florida girl) I hope they don’t change the prices because next year around the same time I would love to go back and bring my kids and rent a few sites! 😍!! Hope all the pictures help make your decision to check this place out for yourself! Oh, and we brought iPads and were able to watch live TV if you have Hulu live or any live stream. We watched Netflix… no problems at all. P.S I still want that sweatshirt though! 😍 can’t wait to...
Read moreWe have stayed twice at the Lake Lanier location and have a third trip scheduled for mid November to try out Roxy the RV. We have a 3yo and were worried about having to set up a camping site and his ability to understand what camping was so when we came across this option - we immediately signed up! When we arrived, it was even nicer than the photos. The beds are extremely comfy and my husband loved the keurig. Being able to disconnect but still having power so we could charge our phones and have a bit of A/C on those warm GA nights was just icing on the cake. We are eagerly awaiting the opening of their second location south of Atlanta so we can spend some time there as well. I have even convinced my “not-so-outdoorsy” friends to have a girls weekend in the spring (they came out and saw their setups and how it’s almost like being in a hotel room and they want to come too!) I’ve seen another review where they mentioned that Nathan was rude and that has been the exact opposite of my experiences. I called with a few questions prior to our first stay since we didn’t to keep what to expect and he was super helpful and patient. The second trip, I emailed them to see if i could add on a last minute kayak and was treated very well and was able to get everything we needed. I can honestly say that I look forward to their monthly newsletters and updates and consider myself a lifelong fan. I cannot wait to go back again. 5stars doesn’t seem...
Read moreMy family and I stayed at glamp site 12. What a great way to have an easy camping trip! We’ve stayed at the shady grove camp ground previously, but have never used the Timberline Glamping sites before. What a game changer!
I don’t think I can go back to regular camping ever again! Our camp site was ready to go before we even got there. There were two chairs by the campfire, Two hammocks set up by the water, and the tent was clean and fully furnished!
The tent was set up with a mini-split A/C system so there was some great relief from the heat outside! Two fans hung over each of the Queen size beds and an oil diffuser in three creating a really comfy vibe. The beds were a little firm, but very comfortable. The mini fridge and k-cup coffee maker was clean and ready use. There was also available power for you to charge your mobile phone at the end of the day.
Best part was the proximity to the water. There were kayaks and paddle boards for rent at the site, but we brought our own to use. Our camp site was only several yards to the beach area so getting in and out of the water wasn’t a big deal and we could focus on having fun on the water.
If you’ve been looking for an easy camping experience on the lake, look no further! Timberline Glamping is the place to go! You...
