RUN! Biggest mistake we made during our planning was to book our wedding here. You never get a do-over for a wedding, which is the most heartbreaking part. It's unanimous from my entire family and MOH- we all agree this was 1 out of 5 stars. My family & I feel cheated after spending $30k here vs what we got; a 1 star upsetting experience. I did not want to leave a review bc I know how much it can affect a small business; I work at 2 local places in the service industry, I know when someone is complaining just to complain and when there is SERIOUS substandard service. When I relayed our awful experience the director did nothing to remedy this which is insulting & hurtful. She made excuses which I am sure she will again, no accountability or remedy. When this happens at our small business, we CORRECT the issue, take accountability, & offer a remedy. She actually said she hoped we would come back and spend more money there.. Uhhh what?? why would we come back and give you business after the nightmare we just went through and you did nothing to remedy it? I am only getting married once & someday we may laugh at the awful experience we had; for now it stings financially AND emotionally. We feel cheated & disappointed. DO NOT GO HERE! The only good part of our wedding was the outside vendors. ALL of the food at the reception = inedible and DISGUSTING. TO START; the 500$ charcuterie tower we got for cocktail hour was from the BEGINNING was covered in flies so no one could eat it w/o potentially ingesting maggots.(This is right when they brought it out!! not hours later.) The BLAND chicken was not tender- sauce was 100% different than what was at the tasting, sweet potato was BLAND, mashed pot. were the smallest portion ever like 1/2 an ice cream scoop, asparagus had no flavor v little sauce, PORK WAS VERY DRY. Cornbread was cardboard/sandy tasting. I feel humiliated that we had people travel from all over to come to our wedding to be served nasty food. Breakfast was late every day. We constantly went down asking "can you bring us more water??" It was 85 outside. We shouldn't have to ask repeatedly to make sure we have WATER, especially when there's elderly people! Could create a lifethreatening situation. Like the very least you could do is make sure we have water to drink?! Worse than the food was our cold/distant coordinator Kristina. Alaina who we had been working with for months quit Ashford right before our wedding in haste, so we got Kristina. The day of the wedding she was NOWHERE to be seen! Never checked in with me ALL DAY until 3p when I was calling the phone number of Ashford and emailing asking where is Kristina?? I found myself rounding up the wedding party for our entrance etc. Bc she was never around! my family ALL day were like "where is she?! Haven't seen her 1 TIME!" There were 2 coordinators, both were M.I.A! My MOH works for the nwprt syndicate as a coordinator and said this was unacceptable & NOT NORMAL or OKAY for a wedding. we were all panicked & disorganized because there was NO communication day off. She hung the neon sign for the Photo Booth too high, so it wasn't even in pics. A car alarm went off the ENTIRE 6 min processional and NO STAFF even TRIED to figure out whose car it was or pause the wedding and you ONLY GET MARRIED ONCE! a guest went around & actually DID SOMETHING because no staff did and it would've went off the whole time if she didn't! THEN the worst part. (we were sent the same invoice for months with the exact amount due) all the sudden right at checkout AFTER WE PAID EVERYTHING on the invoice- the one we had been sent!! Kristina said we owed an XTRA $2,000 which we were NOT expecting. She said it was "an accounting error" on her part. My mother is on SSI on fixed income and we had all budgeted for this wedding, that was NOT ok and felt very sneaky & scammy. TOTAL RIP OFF. Take your money elsewhere where people actually care about guests, LIKE their job, and don't make "2k accounting errors" at the last minute. Edit: the nasty flies even made it into our...

Our experience at Ashford Acres was nothing short of amazing! It was truly one of the best days of our families' lives.

The venue itself was stunning for a fall wedding with beautiful golden maple trees around the property and colorful leaves covering the ground, making the perfect backdrop for photos. It was exactly what my daughter envisioned, as she has always wanted a beautiful, outdoor fall wedding. Then imagine the fall colors with the white southern mansion...the photos are absolutely stunning!

The food was delicious! The rehearsal dinner (steak or chicken) and the reception dinner (chicken tortellini or pork tenderloin) were equally enjoyed by our guests. It made me so happy to have our guests comment on how delicious and filling their meals were. I am vegan and the meals the chef created just for me were incredible. The breakfast skillet was one of the best vegan breakfasts I have ever eaten. The southwestern stuffed sweet potato and vegetable stir-fry meals were amazing. If you have vegan guests, this is the place to book!

My daughter and wedding party stayed two nights at the venue and had a wonderful experience. First off, the interior of the house is stunning. The restoration of the house and its history was done so expertly. Many of the restorations are stunning replications of the original antebellum house. The rooms were spotless and extremely comfortable, and stocked with snacks and drinks. The large, beautiful rooms made the perfect setting for all the getting-ready, pre-wedding fun.

My daughter was married on the lawn surrounded by beautiful fall colors, and the reception was in the event barn. We couldn't have asked for a better, more stunning setting for the reception. The white interior, the strands of lights, the black-and-white-checkered dance floor, and the candlelight all made for an aesthetic, picturesque surrounding for celebrating our sweet couple. So many people commented on how beautiful the barn was.

The final and most important aspect of our experience that I want to comment on was the service. Annastasia was our wedding coordinator and she was fantastic! From the meetings prior to the wedding, the reminder/checking-in emails, the rehearsal, and all the work she did the day-of, she was "on it" and made the wedding day effortless on our part. We experienced some light rain minutes before the ceremony and Annastastia was a calm as can be and quietly assured my daughter who was very anxious about the rain. I was so impressed by her professionalism and poise in that moment. She had the team quickly dry off the chairs and provided matching umbrellas for quests so the pictures would still look amazing. (Luckily the rain tapered off to a light drizzle during the actual ceremony!) Annastasia checked in with us many times throughout the wedding day, making sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. My daughter was extremely nervous and Annastasia was a source of calm assurance the entire day. I am forever grateful to her. I cannot recommend her enough!

My daughter and son-in-law's wedding was a day we will never forget. It took me days to "come down" from such a perfect weekend. I can't tell you the amount of people that told me it was the most touching, beautiful wedding they had ever attended and I owe so much of that the Annastasia and the Ashford Acres staff. The day ran smoothly, was gorgeous, fun, and full of love and joy. If I could give six...

Ashford Acres Inn will always hold the most special place in my husband and I’s hearts. From the moment we toured this venue for our wedding, we were welcomed with friendly faces and a warm cup of coffee. The genuine hospitality and eagerness to get to know my husband and I made it a no brainer going with this venue for our special day.

Ashford Acres Inn itself is breathtaking. It’s southern touches, beautiful views, spacious rooms and overall coziness makes you feel right at home. The beds in each room were all so comfortable (my sister bought the same bed when she got home after the wedding-it was THAT comfortable). Every room was clean and fully stocked with drinks and snacks. The convenience of having the bed and breakfast, reception barn and multiple areas on the property to hold a wedding ceremony all in one location made our wedding experience seamless not only for us, but for our guests. The bridal party and family also took advantage of staying in the house the night before the wedding. It was a game changer getting to wake up, have breakfast and lunch served to us as we got ready doing hair and makeup, without having to leave the property. Ashford Acres also includes the Garden suite to the bride/groom the night of the wedding. It was romantic, cozy and a perfect private cottage for us. There are so many areas on the property with gorgeous views, you really cannot go wrong.

Now to the food!! The food at Ashford Acres Inn is all locally grown (a lot from the farm on the property) and absolutely delicious. We had our Rehearsal dinner, day of wedding breakfast and lunch, plated reception meals, and day after wedding breakfast all at the venue. We have ZERO complaints!! We had multiple guests with dietary concerns that was taken very seriously and handled with the upmost care. From Ashford’s pork chops (multiple guests said it was the best pork chop they had ever had), to the mouthwatering hors d'oeuvres we had at our cocktail hour, to the breakfast the day after the wedding (literally the best ham and cheese quiche I have ever had), we have nothing but the highest compliments for Chef Audrey. Words do not even begin to describe how delicious each meal we had was. We cannot wait to come back for more date nights and stays!!

We had an amazing experience having our wedding at Ashford Acres Inn. It was honestly more than I could have ever dreamt of. Our beautiful wedding would not have been as amazing though if it wasn’t for our incredibly talented wedding planner, Annastasia, along with the most genuine, friendly staff at Ashford. We truly view each and every staff member as family, for they made us feel like we were a part of their family the second we walked through their doors. Every person we worked with along the wedding planning journey up to our wedding was so helpful and absolutely wonderful. The biggest and most frequent compliment we got from our guests after our wedding was how well they were treated by the Ashford staff. The staff was attentive, more than willing to accommodate our needs and quite honestly happy to be a part of our special day. They without a doubt made our wedding that much more special.

We have nothing but compliments for Ashford Acres Inn. Our wedding was magical and we have Ashford Acres to thank for that!! We highly recommend this venue not only for weddings, but for any date night, overnight...
