ATTENTION DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! I had to give it 1 star because they don't have a minus 5 star choice. One of if not the worst place I've stayed. I've traveled the entire Northeast and Southeast United States as well as a 4000 mile trip to the Grand Canyon, I've stayed in many hotels, I'm a rewards member and platinum member of different hotel chains. First let me say the reservation woman who barely spoke English gave me wrong hotel Name (sister property) with a totally seperate address. So after getting lost, sitting an hour in traffic, arriving tired and frustrated at WRONG property, I had to get back in traffic to go back to where I was at the beginning to check in. Greeting was terrible, service walked off because he didn't know how to take cash?? Only for a woman to take over. No cookies as phone repeatedly states when sitting on hold forever, I was in traffic, tired and now HANGRY because I'd had not eaten, was planning on nice dinner after checking in and cooling off. NOT!!!! New guest greeting bags were made and lined up but never offered. ATTENTION HEART PATIENTS, PEOPLE WITH LUNG DISEASE, COPD I cannot shout it loud enough, the AC WILL NOT go below 67. The hotel doesn't mind charging high rates, taking your money but THEY CONTROL THE AC. It's to save on THEIR electric bill but I pay almost $200 for a night, 5 night would be equal to my apt rent with AC that goes BELOW 60. I couldn't sleep, mattress was hard as a brick and I was burning up, nose stopped up due to heat and I couldn't breathe well. I called desk after 12:00 am and told the guy I couldn't get air to go down, he replied by telling me they control temp and he could do nothing. I called desk manager today who refused to do anything. She actually tried to blame me for not asking beforehand. Really??? Who would think hotel controls temperature in your paid room? I didn't want a free room nor a full refund of room rate, I simply wanted a apology for lack of signs or notification beforehand and some money refunded to compensate for no sleep and me having to make a 5hr trip back home in am. Best advice I can give this chain of hotels is to put a sign next to the thermostat in each room alerting all guests that the hotel control the temp so bring your own fan to circulate hot air. Pathetic customer service. I belong to over 60 social media groups and will be copying and pasting this review on EVERY site so no one will go...
Read moreThis hotel is located near the junction of Interstate 10 and Interstate 110 in D'Iberville, MS. It was actually a bit confusing getting here, so we ended up having to get back on the interstate and come back around from the other direction. At least that time we were able to get there. My visit here was on July 28, 2021.
After a long day of driving and traffic issues along the way, it was nice to finally get here that night. We got here much later than expected due to those traffic issues earlier in the day. Of course, the weather didn't help either with storms. The check in was actually done ahead of time through the Hilton app, so the app was used as the key to the room for the stay.
When you come inside, the place is very inviting. Due to the pandemic, there wasn't anyone out front at the desk. It's another sign that they have been trying to drive check ins through the app instead. Overall, there was minimal interaction with others during this visit too, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Masks were required while in the public areas of the hotel if you are unvaccinated for Covid-19, but we were fully vaccinated already.
With getting here so late, I wasn't able to fully explore the hotel on this visit, as I like to do when I go to any hotel. The room that I had was room 222. When coming into the room, it was very clean and fresh. This has been the general experience I have had with hotels in the past too. The beds were comfortable as well.
After taking care of a few things, it was time to just turn in for the night. The sleep overall was good, especially when it's not the bed you are used to at home. Overall, it was a good restful and comfortable sleep. In the morning, it was time to see what they had available for breakfast. Due to the pandemic, the breakfast options were extremely limited. There were some pastries and some pre-packaged sandwiches that you could heat up in the microwave, along with some bread items including bagels.
Overall, this was a pretty good stay for me for that one night. They definitely have lots of things you could still do there, including the pool and exercise room. I like their rooms too since they are all suites and have more room to move around in too. If you are traveling through this area and looking for a good hotel, this place is worth...
Read moreIf you are traveling with a family and a dog this place is wonderful!!!! The room is one of the bigger rooms we have ever stayed in. There were very intentional and thoughtful planned things to make a stay for a family really nice. Each person had a light, and your own nightstand so u could each have a space to keep your book, glasses, and space to charge your phone, watch etc, without having to reach over someone and share a small space on that usual pesky one single shared nightstand in between two beds. There is a full size fridge, very large room, lots of storage space and cubbies. Very well stocked kitchen- casserole dishes, cups, plates, bowls, silverware, a DISHWASHING machine!!!!! Utensils for cooking, a cutting board, a toaster. Then they had a moveable curtain hung from the ceiling so you could seperate the living area from the sleeping area. Now, obviously it isn’t going to keep ur kids from hearing the TV at night, but it gives you one more space for the kids to change, or allows you to let them sleep in for a little longer while you get ready in the restroom, or get your coffee and breakfast. It keeps the light out of their faces while they sleep. They had a table that you could roll out for eating or an extension of a work area, but it tucked away out of the space when not in use, pull out side tables for more eating, usable hard surfaces. They even had a comfortable foot rest, which could be used as extra seating for a large family. They had big usable drawers if you are staying and want to unpack. They had an area convenient enough to get to ur suitcase, but tucked away in a nook so it doesn’t cut into moveable space. It had a curtain, so you could hide ur stuff but still fully and easily acess it. They had a large selection of items for breakfast. Really functional room and very well thought out! Can’t say enough great things...
