First off, I have nothing against the Sleep Number store. The lady there was helpful and nice. However, the bed itself is terrible. I heard all the positivity, read the rave reviews, and thought "what the heck"? BUT, its an air mattress. Surprise, huh? I knew going in it was an air mattress, but I expected a little more for $3200. From the moment I laid on it, I realized it was just an air mattress - like the one I bought from Academy for $85. Same creaky, balloon scratchy sounds and everything. You can wrap up dog droppings and place a pretty bow on them, but its still just dog droppings. Apparently you can wrap up these dog droppings until there is very little air, and mostly memory foam, for a cool $12,000. I am sad I waited until the bed was in my house before I looked for fully unbiased reviews. Yay Reddit. My wife and I have nicknamed this thing the "Hell Bed". We have been sleeping in my office for 6 weeks now! My back hurts, neck hurts, feet hurt, everything hurts. Its not the grand slam that Gabrielle Union got paid to say it was. The customer service is like Tony Soprano. "Oh You'll like the bed you!" You HAVE to keep it for 30 days, which I understood. However, I figured there was a way to deflate the air mattress and maybe reclaim my room. Alas, no. If you touch the thing and THEY sense that anything bad has happened, you are stuck with the air mattress. So there it has sat for 6 weeks, occupying our bedroom like an unwelcome squatter. Also, today is the day they were to come pick up the air mattress and rid me of this Albatross. My window was from 10 AM - 1 PM. It's 3 o'clock in the afternoon and the "Hell Bed" still darkens my room, wasting a perfectly good Monday for my family and I. Customer service has assured me (on two different occasions today alone) that the "pick up team" will be here in 45 minutes. I don't really believe at this point they are coming. I feel like the air mattress is an unwelcome guest that does not know when to leave. My old mattress is looking really good right now. These things are the result of very clever marketing, and some very well placed celebrity endorsements. Much like Air Jordan sneakers, they look cool and all the cool kids have them, but in the end they are just very uncomfortable. After all the trouble, I still have to give them a $250 dollar return fee, sheesh. As I said to my wife earlier, this is the gift that "keeps on taking" - like an STD, or a...
Read moreA Dream Come True: Our Sleep Number iLE Experience at Sleep Number D'Iberville! From the moment my wife and I walked into the Sleep Number store in D'Iberville, we knew we were in good hands. We were immediately greeted by Ashley, whose warm and friendly demeanor instantly put us at ease. We came in looking for a Sleep Number iLE mattress, and what we got was so much more than just a bed – it was a personalized journey to better sleep, all thanks to Ashley!
For years, the wife and I have been suffering from persistent back and body pain, which we just assumed was "part of not being a teen any longer" – a common misconception, it turns out! Ashley was incredibly thorough, guiding us through every step of the process. She listened attentively to our needs and preferences, and it was evident that her priority was finding the perfect sleep solution for us. She meticulously walked us through all the features of the Sleep Number iLE, explaining how its adjustable firmness and SleepIQ® technology could truly transform our nights. We were also impressed by her in-depth knowledge of the warranty and finance options, which made the entire purchase feel transparent and manageable, ensuring we stayed well within our budget.
But it wasn't just about the mattress; Ashley even delved into the importance of pillow height, demonstrating a holistic approach to sleep health that we truly appreciated. What truly made the experience exceptional was how Ashley shared relatable information that resonated with our struggles, making us feel understood and validated. This personal connection made the entire visit incredibly personable, making us feel comfortable and valued, not just as customers, but as individuals whose well-being mattered.
Even though our new Sleep Number iLE hasn't been installed yet, we're already buzzing with excitement! We keep asking ourselves why we didn't do this sooner. Sleep is undeniably the one thing we should never compromise on, and while we always appreciate a good deal (who doesn't?!), investing in quality sleep is truly priceless. Ashley didn't just sell us a mattress; she provided an amazing, tailored experience that has us already looking forward to countless nights of restful sleep, free from the pains we once thought were inevitable. We can't thank her enough for her expertise and...
Read moreI have nothing against the store experience itself. I ordered March 3rd and was scheduled for delivery today, March 22nd. I financed my bed and base for just over $10,000. Or $200 a month for 4 years. So with that price I expected top notch delivery and customer service!!!
HOWEVER, I took off work and waited all day today (delivery estimate was from 2pm-5pm), making sure everything was moved for them to deliver my bed and base, JUST FOR THEM TO CALL AND CANCEL two hours beforehand because “they lost a box” and thus could not complete my delivery today. Bear in mind I confirmed the date two days prior with them and they still waited until after noon THE DAY OF to tell me they couldn’t deliver.
I would have to reschedule for April 5th, two more weeks away (because they only deliver on Friday). When I called customer service back, they only offered me a set of sheets and a pillow for my inconvenience of having to take, now Two days, off work to wait to sign for the bed. Problem with that is 1) that’s not near enough being offered for my situation, but they don’t offer anything else, and 2) I had already bought the sheets and pillows so I would still need to travel two hours away to return the ones I previously bought.
I ended up canceling my entire order because I just can’t justify taking two days off work to get a bed I ordered over a month ago that cost me $10,000. So if you buy from sleep number, be prepared to take off work or have someone else over 18 ready to be there. And definitely don’t expect a timely delivery because they can and apparently will cancel last minute.
Sorry Alejandra from the D’Iberville store if that messed up your commission! You were amazing. Everyone else just...
