Hidden Pond Hostel — Hotel in Dahlonega

Fantastic hostel, five star all the way. Lost Johnny picks you up and cheerfully shuttles you to the hostel and back to the trail the next day. The hostel is on beautiful property and is tastefully decorated in AT art and memorabilia. Full resupply if you need it, nice selection of frozen food to heat up along with soft drinks and ice cream. Free breakfast with eggs from their chickens. Reasonable prices and great hosts (Lost Johnny and his beautiful wife, Rainbow, both of whom thru hiked in 2022). Highly recommend. From the start, I was a middle person between a couple of guys and the host of this hostel. Johnny answered and returned calls promptly. He helped me make sure my people were safe and communicated instructions on how to get them to where they could be picked up. My people got to location and said it was a great spot. This gem of a hostel is a must visit for any thru hikers on the Appalachian Trail. Lost Johnny and Rainbow will take great care of you. Resupply... they got you, slack packing.... they got you, great company, good food, and a cozy homelike atmosphere makes this place the ideal spot to stop at first or last depending on which direction your hiking.
