Our stay was excellent for soooo many reasons!...The lodge is perfectly kept. Clean, organized and extremely friendly. The room feels like home. Every amenity needed. Fridge, Coffee maker, Wine glasses, Ice bucket, extra towels/toilet paper, Direct TV, comfy bed, fireplace, breakfast table, couch and a huge bathroom. Our room had a terrace overlooking the beautiful mountain views and luscious greenery. Watched the sun set and rise. Stars at night. Peaceful. And....I have to say traveling now during this pandemic has had me a bit nervous. Well let me tell you all my worries were settled the minute we arrived. Contactless check in! We were given written instructions and actually saw absolutely nobody! Distance and safety was a priority here. Put me at ease immediately. We felt we had the entire lodge to ourselves. But let me add, we never felt alone. Don was a phone call/text away. Replied immediately every time! Extremely helpful in providing information on what to do in Dahlonega. He arranged us a full day of Hiking with a private tour guide...Sarah who was absolutely amazing, fun and extremely friendly. We also did Kayaking down the river (a must do as well). Breakfast every morning was delivered to our door with a "Good Morning" and a knock at the door to let us know they have left it by our door to bring in. The Chef out did herself every morning! Delicious!!! Freshly baked muffins to country fried breakfast potatoes and egg souffle. Mmmmmm. Miss that alot! We will definitely be back to our friends in Long Mountain Lodge!...

Our room was everything we might want in a mountain lodge - wood burning fireplace, rustic decor, and so many little thoughtful touches that show that the staff know their clientele and know how to deliver rest and relaxation in all the details! And of course, gourmet dining is available each morning to break your fast!||Here's a few items that stood out for us:||* A guided hike to a relatively untouched and unknown waterfall just minutes away from the lodge|* Recommendations on activities, places to eat, and so on that extend well beyond the scope of a printed guide|* Don talking our ears off (in a its-fun-not-annoying way of course!), while Kendall quietly and cheerfully serves in the background. |* Local handcrafted pottery and other artwork is featured throughout the lodge and available for purchase at reasonable prices|* Every room has a wonderful mountain sunset view|* Hiking supplies to borrow, including packs, poles and bug spray in case you forgot yours|* Sheets and pillows as soft and comfortable as what we have at home - no need to bring your own|* Can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff and...
Read moreMy sister and I stayed here this past weekend. It was a spur of the moment trip. I've always wanted to have a getaway to the mountains and visit downtown Dahlonega and I've always wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast. I have to say this place exceeded my expectations. I absolutely loved it here! To start, the owners were extremely nice and hospitable. They made you feel right at home. The food was AMAZING! From the baked pear, to the fresh baked muffins, to the waffles and bacon. If I could run downstairs everyday for their breakfast and snag more homemade cookies I would be more than happy. The town was nice and to visit during this time of year with the Christmas lights where we were also lucky enough to have snow was also a bonus. But the lodge and the view itself was so beautiful that I would have been perfectly content just lounging around doing nothing. It's definitely a relaxing atmosphere. I couldn't have hoped for a better B&B experience. It's not too often that I walk into a place and love the overall feel of it before I even have a chance to take it all in. I knew from the moment that I stepped foot in this lodge that I would definitely be coming back for another...
