We just returned home from a wonderful experience at Holmstead Ranch. My son and new daughter-in-love chose this place for their wedding reception. We opted to stay in the cabins afterwards with several other family members and friends. There were a few unplanned hiccups with the wedding planning as usual. The staff in charge was AMAZING at making things go smoothly even with the hiccup in plans. He was friendly and you could tell he really listened to you to be able to find the solution that would be best for all. The venue was a perfect place for the reception but it started our minds thinking of future family reunions. The pond was beautiful and very peaceful. The property was clean and everything that was needed was in the cabins. The beds were comfortable. Some of the family stayed in the glamping areas and they were just as beautiful and comfortable. The next day we explored around and saw the animals and played horseshoes. I wish I could have stayed for at least a week as it was so beautiful and peaceful. The way that everything was so perfect down to the littlest details I almost thought they planned the perfect weather we had also. I will recommend this place to as many as I can and I will be back sometime to enjoy it for a longer...

Read moreI attended a B.O.W. (Becoming and Outdoors Woman) retreat here. (Look this up!) An amazing experience led by an amazing woman, with endless enthusiam, who brought together great people and instructors by sheer source of will for what she believed was important and charm ^^. (courses included: gun safety and shooting, rock climbing/rappelling, knot tying, fishing, first aid/ cpr training, how to backpack/hike right, fire starting, making protein packed food for hiking...etc) The ranch itself is beautiful and well kept. It is a mini, uncrowded, peaceful resort. The kind that makes you want to get out in the air and play rather than stay in. There are modern, tent-shaped cabins and even wagon cabins! A riot, but not clownish looking.
The showers and restrooms were always pristine. As are the cabins.
It's truly a place to forget your worries, enjoy who you're with, and play like a kid again. There is a beach volleyball spot, a small lake to kayak or SUP, hike trails, a rock-enclosefirepit for roasting s'mores, courts to play pickleball, and even a bean bag toss area . And, that's Just what I saw while walking to and from my cabin. I hope to return...
