We stayed here for about a month in Sept/Oct 2025. The campground is clean and well maintained. We are a fully contained class A, so I can’t speak to the bathhouses. We also didn’t take advantage of any of the amenities (pool, arcade, mini golf). All sites came with a fire pit and picnic table. There are quite a few seasonal sites in the CG. We loved the location. It’s about 15 minutes from downtown St. Johnsbury, and it’s about halfway between the New Hampshire White Mountains and hiking around Stowe. The campground is also connected to the Lamoille rail trail which was fantastic for walking our dogs.
Our site was ST27 and was mostly level. Due to the direction of the site, we had full sun on our passenger side all day, no trees to provide shade, and unfortunately our awnings didn’t lower enough to provide shade. I noticed the same issue for the pull through sites across from us. The campground is dog friendly, and we were able to put up our portable dog fence.
This campground is VERY family friendly with lots of activities planned on the weekends. Weekends were crowded, busy, and loud. Weekdays were peaceful and quiet.
We don’t have young kids, so we agreed this isn’t the campground for us in the future. It felt too much like a weekend party campground with loud music coming from campground events and sometimes peoples’ sites. We also witnessed two or three campsites have...
Read moreHaven't been here in 7 years, booked a site for 10 days and because I have bad knees I brought a "stock" golf cart with me in my Toy Hauler to commute back and forth with friends on other side of Campground, easier, safer, quieter than running around in my 1-ton diesel.
Keep in mind there are "NO" rules on website OR info they hand out when you enter Campground that restrict their use ... ATVs, Loud Vehicles is all that is prohibited.
The seasonals are permitted to have them, but no one else so unless you spend thousands a year for a seasonal site, your not good enough!
I've noticed a significant increase in Seasonals here too since I used to come each year not long after he opened .. so if you like the more "trailer park" look in many areas of the campground, it is a clean, kid "too friendly" (parents don't watch their kids, they race down hills, one almost did a 15-20 mile an hour face plant into the side of my truck) Campground otherwise there are far friendlier places to spend your money.
We won't be back, will easily convince several of his other regulars to spend there 10+ days to join us elsewhere!
I'm not much for discrimination or ignorance.
... Because I'm an honest person however I will say it is a clean, neat, well maintained Campground with a fairly nice pool and decent store. The owner has put a lot into the...
Read moreWe stayed for 7 nights in a 36 foot motor home and toad with our in-laws in a 35 foot fifth wheel. Well stocked camp store. Key card gate. Easy check in process. Located on undulating acreage. Many seasonal sites. Some camper rentals. Some pull through, mostly back in sites. In-laws had a flat pull through site. We had a sloped back in next to a playground and inflated bounce room. Site base was dirt/gravel. Outdoor rug needed to keep dirt out of RV. Convenient water, sewer, 50 amp hook ups. Entry to site was very sloped but site itself was flat. Good distance between sites. Good privacy on our site due to terraced sites. Pull through sites not very private. We had good DISH signal, most sites southern sky was blocked by trees. No over air TV. Cable provided but picture a bit grainy. Paved interior roads. |Pros-18 hole mini golf, basketball court, several playgrounds, 2 swimming pools, camp store, relatively close to Ben & Jerry’s/Cabot cheese/Lake Champlain/covered bridges/maple syrup farms. |Cons-popular with young families so very noisy at times, no free WiFi (purchased WiFi available-$7/day or $35/week for 1 device at a time), poor cell signal Verizon and AT&T-unable to use personal hot...
