Mountain View Motel — Hotel in Davis

This motel is a good value ($60/night) if you don't care about accommodations. If you're a hunter/fisherman/nature seekers and just want a bed and shower, it would probably be fine. For a family or couples, I would say run! I don't require 4 star accommodations but do appreciate very clean and safe ones. ||||The motel is dated and very old. It is somewhat clean but the white towels were small and thin and still had stains from previous guests. I was in the area for a family reunion and this was the closest accommodation to the events that we knew of. The first night was quiet and OK, however, the second night was a different story. When we arrived back at the motel to settle in for the night, there were two police cars there. Within a few minutes of going to our rooms, they knocked on my cousin's door and asked if she was ok. They stated there had been a 911 call from this hotel. She stated we were fine and they left. We were scared, so we got in our car and drove back to the reunion location. On the way, we were passed by two police cars and a police car, obviously is hot pursuit of something. This left us unnerved and we got very little sleep that night. The doors have dead bolts but the doors were very thin and could easily be kicked in. On a positive note, the air conditioner did work well when it was placed on high!||||If our reunion is in the same location next year, I will definitely NOT be staying at this hotel. I will drive 20-30 miles before I would ever stay at this...

Stayed here for 60 days, while working on a shutdown on one of the nearby refineries. Will come and stay with you guys again, when im in that area again!😉 👍-Clean, 👍-Clean, Fridge, 👍-Clean Microwave, 👍-42" TV, 👍-Free ICE, any and every day, (ICE machine is located behind a door next to the entrance/front desk building.) 👍-Cheaper than other hotels, 👍-Quiet, 👍-Safe, 👍-Conveniently located, nearby highway, 👍-Friendly and Helpful staff, 👍-Can Highly Recommend!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Ps: Rooms are a bit dated, and if you are a breakfast person, I'd say keep on driving, no breakfast is offered. Other hotels do have breakfast, but you pay TWICE the price!

Dont know about you, but paying $60,- more just for a lame breakfast is a way over the top if you ask me,... $60,- pays for a 4 person meal at Ihop any day...

First time staying here. So far so good. Older motel, but very clean. We stayed at the super 8 in sulphur last night and it was hands down the worst hotel experience of my 50 year life. Looking forward to a shower and some sleep tonight finally. I like that its tucked away a few miles out of town and there isn't a lot of noise. The television works and lots of cable channels to choose from. Sheets are crisp, clean, and bright white. Which is a far cry from the filthy, roach hotel at super 8 in Sulphur. Will definitely make this my go to motel the next time I visit family in the area. Thank you...
