Where to start..... My wife and I RV alot, once a month at least. We have seen some bad campgrounds and some really nice ones from beaches to mountains. When you pay a little more for water front you go into it with fairly high expectations. That said Blue Water RV resort greatly exceeded all of our expectations! From the moment we arrived Miss Rachel and the rest of the staff made us feel like they'd known us forever. We've never been made to feel more welcome. They have so many amenities. There is a play ground and a beautiful pool area for the families with kids. They also have a private stocked fishing pond and classy rooms with boat parking in front of every room for the host of bass anglers, both professionals who earn they're living fishing and those amateurs looking for that dream fish to hang on the wall (Lake Chickamauga is the host of many professional bass tournaments and is ranked in the top ten bass lakes in the country). The camp store is awesome, well stocked and just a fun place to hang out and watch the hustle and bustle of the fishing world. Private gated docks for campground guests are steps away from your campsite. Rental golf carts are well maintained and super affordable at $24.00 per day. Why doesn't every RV resort offer this amenity? They have pet poop bag stations everywhere and a huge well maintained "Bark Park" for the puppies to gather and run off steam. Speaking of puppies, if you had to leave yours at home or you don't have your own Miss Rachel keeps Buddy (awesome dog!) onsite, usually at the camp store for everyone to enjoy. I didn't see any trash laying around, no dog poop left behind the entire campground was just clean as it could be. This is alot to cram into a Google Guide review but when you find a place that really exceeds your highest expectations it deserves to be reviewed properly. We will most definitely be returning and I give it my highest recommendation. Pay the extra for water front. You will not be...

Full disclosure: we have an RV but are full time, live aboard boaters cruising the American Great Loop and took the Tennessee River as a side trip. Blue Water Resort is a must stop for transient boaters on Chickamauga Lake!! Google it and see the remodeled Resort and complete expansion in 2016. Locked and gated docks with keypad code. E covered dock provides 2 transients slips (uncovered) on their face dock, clearly marked from the water and on the deck. All staff members were friendly, polite, kind and helpful. General store (small boat section), very nice and clean restrooms with showers, clean and locked laundry room with 2 washer/2 dryers with a folding table that you rent for $8 for four hours! We ordered from their store a (frozen thin crust) pizza while waiting on laundry, enjoyed it on the covered patio with plenty of tables and chairs/TV/trash cans/cornhole, beautiful landscaping, dock carts etc.all overlooking the river. Walked the fantastic RV (hilly) grounds, all clearly labeled with signage and well maintained landscaping. Staff allowed to use the pool since it was slow season (August) with school back in session. The shallow entry pool area with seating was fantastic, with a covered pavilion, refrigerator, restrooms, multiple tables/chairs/umbrellas, gated and locked with card, member wrist bands, closes at dark, no lifeguard on duty. Blue Water Resort is a gem, not hidden, but a definite place we would highly recommend and return to by land or water. Office 423-775-3265, bluewaterdayton.com, off Chickamauga channel 1/4 mile up on Richland Creek, follow bouys to dock (shallow outside of channel), $1.50/foot. A Marina destination to relax, enjoy nature and connect to life's...

I have stayed at BlueWater Resort several times over the past years. This time was different this is the off-season which I would assume that most Campground owners would be happy about anybody camping in their Campground. The facilities are nice it is quite a ways to get back here and the road is crappy to get back here. But here's some other issues why is the bathroom got a code on it? Are there actually people that are coming over here to poop in your bathroom in the middle of the night that are not camping here? Second the ladies don't seem very happy about being here it seems like it's just another job as they sit behind the counter trying to help people that annoy them. Last thing I have to say is that I was fishing today on my checkout day and I wanted to pull my camper out at 11:00 as required I asked if I could park the motorhome down into the empty ramp parking lot and I was told that I had to park it up by the lodge which is approximately 1 mi from the ramp and I guess I would just have to walk back. Again I would think that somebody would be very happy with the business during the slow time of the year and not make it so inconvenient for their customers or campers to be able to do the one thing that they came here for which was fish. My last time here and I'll make sure I tell every fisherman I know. That their business is only appreciated here whenever there's a big tournament in town. Also they claim to give a military discount but I have yet to see one on my bill there's no place to do the website as well as the lady never asked to see my military id....

In all honestly, the resort is beautiful, and the pool is great, but the long-term sites are very close together and you pay $600 per month plus electric. In addition, be careful if you sign a lease for a long- term RV site at Blue Water. Barron is no longer the manager there and the new Manager, Nick, told us we had to leave the week before July 4th, and would not give us a reason, after only a month of staying there. We are building a house and had nowhere else to go, especially at that time. Both my husband and I spoke to Nick individually multiple times and he would NOT give us a reason after we begged him to multiple times. When I told him we had a signed lease until November, he said it did not matter because it was private property and that we could sue if we wanted to. To this day, we have not been told why we were told we had to leave. Oh, and he refunded the ENTIRE month of June and didn't have us pay any electric from May 15 until we left on July 5th. We must have done something so bad that they would refund us the entire month! Just warning others as well. The resort, the sweet ladies in the office, and the owners are amazing, but they do not "manage" this place. This guy, Nick, picks and chooses who he wants there and had no remorse or care that we were about to uproot our 8 year old, who had made great friends there after a year of not being around other kids during the Pandemic. Don't get me wrong, we are good now and I truly believe everything happens for a reason, but this was not justifiable or good business at all.
