Highland General Store and Bear Creek Cabins — Hotel in Decorah

Had our family Christmas there on the weekend of Dec. 11-13th 2020. What a GREAT place to have our Christmas for our size of family!!! The owners were top notch to work with! The general store, well it is super cute and had anything you wanted or forgot at home! We stayed in the Whitetail Cabin and it was AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL, they even had a Xmas tree up that was stunning! There wasn't anything that they didn't provide in the cabin! Everything from towels to extra cots! When I asked the family if they would stay again, it was and absolute YES! Thank you Highlandville cabins for your hospitality and your beautiful cabin!...

Nice older gentleman but lady NOT nice. Cabin nice but wasn't allowed to park camper on very large parking area to store after we stayed at campground for three days. Wasn't trying to take advantage, ended up taking camper 35 minutes away to store. Disappointing. We were told we could keep pet in tent away from cabin but lady was rude and condescending to us. I love this store. It's like out of a movie...great food stocks, snacks, fishing supplies, etc. etc. etc. Wonderful people. This is a true country store - approach it with that in mind and you'll get everything you need. Check any "Big City" demands...
