Dry camping in the NRA for only $6 per night. Gravel site included concrete pad with a picnic table and a cover. Close to Del Rio and not far off the highway. Noise was not noticeable. Pit toilet but no water. Dump station in the NRA a short drive away. WanderingWakes.Net

Beautiful large camp sights. Very peaceful area. Lake views, even though the water is low.

I'd already seen one of the other camping areas and it just was like a big parking lot, so I hoped this one would be better, but I'm not impressed. 😕 It's just a bunch of campers clustered close together in the brush, and a fairly long walk down a boat ramp to even SEE any sign of the lake. Not even water available, just trash bins and vault toilet. No thanks... never again. Price is also now $6/night,...

With the interagency pass the camping fee is $6 a night (normal fee, but no entry fee). The disability pass allows you to camp for $3. This site has 8 to 10 sites. A long walk to get a glimpse of the water. You are not launching kayaks from this spot with today's water levels. There were 4 to 5 people here in early February. Garbage service no...

Always pleased with our stays on government land. This is part of Amistad National Recreation Area. This campground is not free, but prices are low. $3 for Senior Passholders, and $6 for everyone else. Unfortunately, the water table is very low. At the boat ramp, you could put in a canoe or kayak, but I wouldn't recommend...
